Make him cpt or Vice to signify his importance to the team, its a classic tactic by clubs. He'd make a better Cpt than Hendo anyway who I've always thought was a poor choice as Captain.

Hey if you're happy for Chelsea to spend and spend and spend and never see any academy players ever make the first team. Can't see the point of having an academy if you're never going to use them. Be interesting to see what would happen if proper rules about English players were introduced.
I would not even be tempted to take that bet. I sincerely doubt he will play more than 90mins in prem total but he will play in cups

I like the look of Solanke...takes up smart positions...chases down... think we will see more of him than we think...not loads but don't mind that being a sub choice at all.
Thats like saying brewster only needs 10 minutes more to play more than hes ever played with you guys You are right its shocking that we dont give youth any chance especially when some of them could have taken the step up. This season more than most with the departures of ake and chalobah who are more than capable Solanke though wont be getting much game time whether thats with you or with us. Its very rare for centre forward academy prospects to make it through
Look i think with our team now solanke wull be looking at the bench with sturridge and origi and having to displace one. If he does that fine but to be first on he will habe to impress klopp. Lucky for him both rivals as made of glass.
What i dont get is why you wont use league cup and fa cup more for these guys and a couple of slots on bench for 20mins here and there in league. I often think bench expanding should have helped tourh but actually just inflated squads. 2 to 3 to 5 to 7 and kids get less chances... Imo if you made it 10 subs youd see some sides not able and some just buy another 5 senior players.
Think he might get more than people think, especially with the cup games. I mean lets face it Sturridge will get injured, Origi is too unpredictable to be a first choice and nobody knows what state Ings is in or if Klopp even fancies as a player. Firmino is the obvious starter, but against the lower teams he's not as effective as he plays in front of a defence (like the rest of our forward line which is easy for a bus parking team to keep out). That's where someone like Solanke might get his chance and if he takes it it'll be hard to keep him out.
quite and it was noticable that Klopp decided he couldn't trust Origi as wide forward , where he seems best suited, & played him as CF last season but only as Studge never fit. Origi has not progressed as hoped and i think this season may be be the make or break for him with us. Edit : i was referring to PL sub appearances in the main in the above.
