This reminds me of a movie that scared the crap out of me as a child. In the late 50s my family went to the drive - in to see "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad." I spent heaps of time, gripped with terror, ducking up and down behind the front seat. Every time something scary happened, I flung myself on the back floor. I remember it as though it was yesterday, and that was about 60 years ago.
Cyc; was never too bothered by monsters/creatures/other worldly creatures; too many in the neighbourhood I grew up in! Suspense was my weak point! Can remember the Seventh Voyage of Sinbad along with Jason And The Argonauts. These films always included a touch of (female) flesh to keep a 'young' lad happy!
Sorry, just returned from my watch of cat-sitting . In a way, yes, but Fox News doesn't scare me, on the contrary, they are so ridiculous it is like a continuous version of Saturday Night Live. They can make me angry too, which is not good for the ticker (is what I meant).
'The Donald' has just got to be on drugs! Second amendment supporters could stop Hillary Clinton (I paraphrase!)
Herr Trumpf now in full reverse mode!!!!!!! Now claiming he meant the 'gun lobby's' voting intentions!!!!
I actually thought this election could get interesting after the primaries were out of the way, but the lack of substance in the campaigning (and the reporting thereof) is driving me nuts. Switching off to the whole damned thing, it has become a media joke.
All Donald's foot in mouth stuff has seen him blow out to 4-1 in the betting. Hillary is into 2-7. He had 'em on the run for a while, but his ego got in the way.
It is actually approaching the edge of terrifying. We passed embarrassment a long time ago. The thought of how the self-proclaimed greatest country on Earth can have these two morons as the choice for President is beyond comprehension. As for the people- you only have to look in the background of the tv pictures and/or watch the interviews to see the level of intelligence we are dealing with here. Anyone think Trump could be forced to pull the plug or has that ship also sailed?
For all their fear of extremists, the USA has actually turned into a land of extremists. You have the religious extremists in all shapes and sizes, most scary being the bible-bashing politicians like Ted Cruz. Then you have the NRA (weapons extremists), the "Ah lurv America" brigade (patriotic extremists), the PC brigade / moral majority ("oh my god, did he just say the N word") who seem to be permanently tweeting their outrage. What America needs is more people like Louis CK (ignore the subs, this really is a very funny sketch about the ridiculous concept that a word is more harmful than a gun):
Where is Charles Hawtrey when you need him; with a wee bit of padding and plenty of make up he could have played both leading roles a la Tom Hardy in Legend!!!!!
I know that this is slightly late in the day as a couple of the Presidential candidates have fallen by the wayside, but it is nonetheless a bit of fun:
Phrases involving “sinking ships” come to mind... Paul Manafort Quits Donald Trump’s Campaign After Tumultuous Run The previous campaign manager was somebody called Lewandowski, who decided playing football for Bayern Munich was an easier way to be a winner.
