I think once Hilary has a clear run at Trump, and no longer has to worry about her own side taking shots at her (hear that Bernie? Time to shut up now), she'll improve her public perception. She's quite a credible candidate and polls very high among black and Hispanic voters. Populist candidates like Trump and Sanders do well with blue collar white voters, who are clearly a very angry bunch, but it's hard to imagine there are enough of them to get Trump elected.

You know, Archers and Top Class, I have great respect for OddDog's view on this; he's more reasoned than I for sure, I get too bloody carried away sometimes, I admit that. What I don't understand, however, is, is it really worth putting up someone like Trump for President just to change the status quo? I honestly think not, he is just too unstable for my liking. There must be another way, but, to tell the truth, I don't know what the hell it is. A self-centred megalomaniac like Trump is surely not the answer?

I had the plate removed from my arm yesterday Swanny so that should help me think more clearly <laugh>

Remember we are talking the USA here, the country which elected Ronald Reagan at the height of the cold war <laugh>

<laugh> Oh, I thought you said the 26th May, but glad that's over with for you. See, I can't remember anything...<doh>

Yep, a 'B' grade movie actor, but they loved him! GWB wasn't exactly a Bertrand Russell either?

Ronald Reagan may have been an unlikely choice for President, but at least he had charisma. And he didn't wear a dead cat on his head. Trump has anti-charisma, but if he can get taken seriously as a candidate then there's hope for Jeremy Corbyn.

To be fair to you Swanny it was May 26th but the hospital moved it. It went really quickly yesterday - I arrived at 7.00 AM and was done at 7.00 PM <laugh> lots of waiting time.

The truth is that the Americans could elect the wisest and most principled chap like Obama but he got very little done in 2 legislative periods as the whole system there is just stuck in the mud between congress and the house of representatives and senate. Trump will have very little actual power (much like most US Presidents) but he might just succeed in cleaning things up a little with his, er, "no nonsense style" <laugh>

Oddy, 12-hours! Mamma mia! Had a similar experience once down here, a Saturday morning. First I had to go to emergency (eye retina problem), back and forth "you must get yourself on the computer system" etc., long wait to see the one specialist working. Then from him, "we will check you in right away". Long and short of it, they operated on me that same evening. God, what a day that was.

I rolled up at a cruise ship hospital with a collapsed lung. A South African lady doctor deadened the area on the side of my chest then cut me open. She then stuck a tube into the hole and hey presto ..... lung re-inflated. And all done in about 30 minutes. :)

Not sure why Sanders is hanging around, Obama has already given Hillary his endorsement...

Something has got to give in this year’s race to The White House.

There is a serious prospect of the Commander In Chief being a woman, assuming that enough Republicans are repulsed by the idea of a President Trump. Ironically, one of Mrs Clinton’s weakest areas is the female vote – they just do not like her. As the Democrat candidate, she would also be the first to be elected to follow a Democrat President in over a century.

The numbers suggest that Donald Trump will struggle to win as he only commands a little over a third of the vote in the Republican Primaries having gone into the lead early as the remainder divided amongst his many early rivals.

If Hillary got the job, she would be the second oldest US President, whilst The Donald would be the oldest – a title currently held by Ronald Reagan. The opinion polls (if they are more reliable than ours were in 2015) currently give Clinton a six point lead over Trump, who is looking to be the first non-politician to win the job since Dwight D. Eisenhower.

That's a good start, Hillary, start fighting back against this s.o.b. Just read that Trump has been praising Saddam Hussein and Muammar al-Ghadafi. Well, OK, both Iraq and Libya were certainly better off under those despots, but I hope he did some research on these two characters before he utttered these epic words? I very much doubt it.

Sorry, clip does not seem to work. On BBC 'World - USA/Canada section', right-hand side, "Clinton jokes about Trump's tweets".

Watched a fair bit of Fox News yesterday following FBI report stating there would be no charges against the 'Hillary'. The puppet females had more 'slap' on and were even more indignant than usual.

Sorry about this comment but I am sure I could recognize sexual excitement in their shrieking spluttering speeches (as opposed to reporting); moistness no doubt around the southern regions within the studio!!!

F..k me Fox News, and I use the term 'News' with regret, still hunting down Hillary Clinton about the e-mails. Methinks they smell blood in support of Herr Trumpf! This non-news right wing, neo-con supporting bunch of c..ts should be removed from broadcasting. Hate to say it but, in this circumstance, screw 'free' speech.

Rant over however intermittent viewing may reignite my ire!

Yep, Fox News is a rare collection of horses' asses, which include stallions, geldings and mares. IMHO, of course.

There are two discussion/comment/panel shows; The Five and the one with the four bints and a sole male. The former is meant to be 'fair and balanced'. In Fox (Goebbel's) News this means three extreme right wingers, one less extreme right winger and a Democrat supporting 'journalist' with right wing beliefs! The four glamorous females on the latter compete to give the most extreme Republican views with the male just there to back up their nonsense.
