Last time we spent big money just to win the LC and not get top 4 we sacked our manager, and he was a far better person than Mourinho
They have one of the most expensive and successful managers in modern football. If he can only guide them to 5th place after all this investment then they're in big ****ing trouble.
Yeah that's probably fair. It's going to be an interesting few weeks in terms of the battle for the top 4.
That was when you were still up there, these days 1 pot in a decade and 1 CL season in 7 makes those days seem somewhat heady
Very close at the moment, almost impossible to call. Probably give us the edge because of our fixtures Vs theirs & Arsenals but the way we play against these teams outside the top half then I wouldn't be surprised if we tripped up in at least one of the games. Genuinely think everyone in the race is going to drop a few points so if we win 3 games out of 4 then I think we'll make it.
Still 4 teams in the race for 2 places not sure I'd want to call it either. It'll go right to the wire I reckon
You reckon? I think City are guaranteed because of their fixtures. So you've got 3 teams battling over 1 remaining spot.
I don't think any of the 4 are certainties as yet mate. If Spurs do Les Gooners tomorrow then I'd write them off though.
They have the voodoo over Spuds though, and anything can happen in a derby. Spurs could very well do a Spurs tomorrow.
I've written them off now Spurs then Man Utd, then a couple of away games they are **** at It will be over for them before their Sunderland bye Their last game is against Everton which I wouldn't fancy them to win even if they didn't have an eye on the FA Cup final a week later
They're definitely the outsiders but given their record of somehow scraping over the line every year I won't write them off before tomorrow
Arsenal have only ever come close once IMO. they celebrated getting that 4th on 73 points... over psurs wasn't it? Not sure. I would not say that arsenal have had as competitive a scenario to worry baout and have als been tapering off as wenger loses it. IMO they are 6th best side out of six so should really be there.
We have played a lot of games, have a lot of injuries and the players that are left are tired. Proper meltdown
Oh, and that he is happy that the players we have gave their all and he can not fault them or ask any more from them. We will keep going until the end of the season and see what we can do.
Need to see interview, will wait till tomorrow, if we lose or draw (likely) i will be too busy having my own meltdown i wont care about jose's or
"I think Luke Shaw's must be a big injury, because to leave the pitch after nine minutes, I am expecting a very big injury" "At the moment, we can walk from the bed to the toilet and break a leg." "I prefer not to speak about Phil Jones and Chris Smalling." "We are tired and exhausted." "This is the ninth match of April, it is not human." "Imagine if we were also in the FA Cup semi-final. We would have had a game against Burnley that would have to be played later. When? After the FA Cup final? In June? In next pre-season? In the end, it was a blessing that we didn't make the cup semis." "You are punished because you are doing well. If we beat Celta, we have the final."
