Their job like everyone else in the team is to get 3 points. That doesn't always mean only scoring goals.

You think Klopp sees Solanke's future in the boot-making department then?

    Nah... thats not reaaly right.

You job is put the ball away. If you get 5 chances and obly score 1 thats a problem.

You might be called lukaku in that case.

Striker are strikers for a reason. If what you say is true lfc would be winning tge league with 4 no 10s on the pitch.. all getting about 10 goals.

We were top scorers for a large chunk of last season without a recognised no.9. Even though the wheels fell off in January we were still 4th best by the end. A good striker could have tipped the balance in our favour, that's obvious - but still, spreading the goals around means you're not crippled even if your striker is.

According to Southgate, these young players must play regularly at their club level, so that England are going to have a better chance in the senior world cup. Has he got a point?.

They have to be good enough, it's that simple. Which club is going to jeopardise its own success in order to nursemaid a future England set-up?

The reason Solanke left Chelsea is that he is not playing first team football. He believes that he is going to play regular football at Liverpool.

Well two of the Everton lads were getting games, Calvert Lewin keeping Mirallas out of the side, will that continues next season??

Kenny looks likely to get his chance at RB with Coleman out. But if managers can bring in better players to get the results the owners and fans demand....they won't, it's all down to desire now for them.

Well probably. Studge will be injured for 75% of the games, Origi is so hit or miss, Woodburn is too young to be a starter and Ings might be sold.
Only Firmino is a nailed on starter atm.

Are you excited by the prospect of Lookman, do you think he will be given a proper chance?

He wasn't a signing Koeman had identified by all accounts, a Walsh signing. He has been hit and miss, but he has the talent and is fearless. IF he can add a little discipline or a side is built round to cover his forward play then we have a player on our hands.....I hope! He has pace to burn and runs with the ball in close control, something no defender likes

it was noticeable that england twice subbed him in what appeared to be decisions taken over worries of him losing the ball by doing too much in MF.

Yeah, he has the Ronaldo habbit ,something that took him a few seasons to get under control. Don't let anyone coach that out of him!

oh don't get me wrong you want young forwards to be brave but they have to lern quickly where not to do it.
against Italy ,although in a way he flattered to deceive, it was noticeable that whenever he picked the ball up the crowd ,such as it was, immediately started buzzing in anticipation.

He has that effect and everyone loves that type of player....if they provide the end product. He has a way to go but looks comfortable with getting roughed up - something from his league one days that no doubt has helped.

I must admit haven't seen much of him but looks a little powerhouse. Just looked up that Sandro guy, surprised he's only 21 as you've mostly gone for age ... so far <whistle>
