    Surely our main target this season was a top 4 finish. I would put top 4 over a cup win this season without doubt.
    We've shown big improvement, 8th to 4th is massive. We also know the squad is not complete and needs strengthening. Klopp's on the case.

    excellent point but i think the difference between.... well talking positive but behind the scenes saying we have to improve and actually thinking this is a success is huge

    If klopp wants to send us off happy for the summer and follow up with 5/6 signings for the new season great... as long as a once off 4th place is not seen as a success as losing in the cups was a blow.

    I think you reached 7th by about week 16 didn't you. And there you stayed by virtue of those lower than you being absolutely awful.

    Wenger has been settling for 4th for literally decades

    This is Klopp's first full season FFS

    Also you have to consider the context that Klopp and FSG made the plan to save their investment money for this window rather than overpay for non-CL-level footballers in January which we would only end up wanting to replace

    Nope, we got to 7th by gaining 14 more points than we have in the last 2 seasons, and achieving our best home record since 1987 <ok>

    The turnaround in home form was spectacular given that El Fraudo had delivered our worst ever home record last season.
