The player who set up the equalising goal ran to the stands to celebrate with the crowd, the ref decided it was worth a second yellow and sent him off.

I think it's more about denying a goal scoring opportunity and as such, a man running across the pitch with a group of players chasing back would not be classed as a clear goal opportunity.

Forest aren't a PL team, different refs, different objectives

Oh right, so it's just teams like United, Chelsea and Liverpool they protect then <ok>

For consistent bias in their favour it's mainly City and Chelsea these days, with a bit of Man Utd from the older refs

But everyone suffers their general incompetence and failure to know or apply the rules

Or perhaps they do apply the actual rules but not your version of them :emoticon-0100-smile

    <laugh>

I think it's fair to say he was a tad upset.

I particularly liked his view on the 'glory hunting' City fans.....a novel stance given he's a Welsh lad who's probably never been within a bus ride of Old Trafford.

    Bless him

Not sure we should be taking the piss out of that lad in the vid, i know it's easy and he's aggro, but he seems to have some kind of personality issues or learning disability. I dunno maybe he's so angry he can't think

Apparently Hart made a clanger on his Torino début toady. Sounds like he made the same mistake as Bravo, only without a defender to get in the way.

And they called him 'John' on the teamsheet <laugh>

Like the Kos overheard kick yesterday, not sure how costa's wasn't a foul today. Head high with naughtons head in the vicinity.

Refs need to clear this confusion up. A high foot is given when someone puts their foot waiste height but an overhead kick at head height isn't... No idea how that works.

Also from Around Europe, Balotelli scored on his Nice début. However it was a penalty, so not much to shout about.

It's ridiculous, the rule literally seems to be 'if he scores it's fine, otherwise - free kick the other way'

I have always taken it that the ref goes off who gets to the ball first, a bit like a late tackle.

But often when it's a bouncing ball and 50/50 the guy that wins the ball is often penalised because his foot is slightly higher.

Just dont grt how 3 feet off the ground is high but 6 foot off isn't

    On the overhead kicks.

Ever since they were on escape to victory its been a feature of the game that in the pen area you largely have carte blanche to go do it.

If you kick someone though its illegal or if you dare try it on the half way line you are mad etc.

Its purely a oh isnt he skillfull thing. Cant be seen to kill the creativity etc etc.
