Is it possible that a manager who was so universally liked last season turned into a monster no one wanted to play for? Did he suddenly change a system that was effective and successful into a rubbish one? Does that mean he had no idea why and how they triumphed last season and therefore couldn't do it again this?

No matter that the manager started tinkering, the players owed him. To coldly down tools like this and then to pick them again so effectively when he's gone is really treacherous.

They certainly can win it but can't see them getting past the big boys.

No one believes that we can win it in 2005 when we won it especially 3:0 down at half time. Cup competitions requires luck sometime.
Leicester keeper saving the penalty was a turning point.

True but we still had a decent enough squad to at least compete. And we also beat teams like Juventus (champions of Italy), Leverkusen (strong team in Germany), Chelsea (champions of england) and Milan (best team in Europe).

Leicester are yet to play a top class team yet IMO.

Obviously the moive will reveal all

How the genius vardy looked around under pearson and said right lads follow me and led them to safety then when the savant board appointed ranieiri... well vardy led his men by ignoring all orders and allowed the senile old fool to say dinglydong and stuff in interviews while he won the league for Leicester. It was then the doddery **** who bought terrible players who ruined vardys plans but no to worry once the board turned back to the great man he then lead the club to top half and a ck win.

We all know journos talk ****e.
I'm guessing the point was that Lucky was making noises about playing in the CL and you're never going to make that this season so he thinks he deserves better.

Its difficult to see Everton breaking into that top six even over the next couple of seasons. Koeman's defo got something about him as a manager
but top 4 for Everton?.........can't see it in the short/medium term. There are too many clubs above them 'on the up'. Chelsea obv. very good atm.
Us and Spurs building with good managers, Citeh and MU with money to burn. I suppose Everton could take Arsenals spot in that top six if Arsenal
find it difficult to replace Wenger.

Yeah. I think landing Koeman was a good move, and I did think at the start of the season they might fare even better than they have - but as you say, the competition is stiff.
The problem today is that so many young players think they deserve everything straight away, and it's hard to find exceptional players who are prepared to stay and try and build something with a team that's on the periphery of the top level. They all want to walk into a ready-made trophy winning side, and that then keeps the top sides at the top. Unless some big buy-out happens and (even more) ridiculous amounts of money start flying about.
Leicester seemed to show that the pattern can be broken, but I think we're seeing what most of us thought last season - that they're a once-in-a-lifetime fluke.

Doing will in the PL too.

The players may well of been ****s, not disputing that. However, they weren't performing so something had to change. Easier to change one than twenty-five so Ranieri had to go.

And yes, Ranieri did change the tactics. He introduced Salami meaning Vardy was deeper. This meant they were no longer hitting the channels and nullified Mahrez as well.

    you are not wrong.

but it doesn't make the player any less of a set of pure dickheads

But yes.. I agree ranieiri made a bad error going in to this season in transfers. He bought the wrong forwards and no defenders and i had been doing the job Morgan and hut would have been no 1 and no 2 to go IMO. They are donkeys.
