For me it goes back to that thing about retrospective bans for diving. What do players achieve when trying to stay on their feet? Sterling do so there and Spurs got away with conceding a stonewall penalty, City lost the chance for a penalty & they basically conceded a goal at the other end because of it. Where is the reward for staying on your feet in that example? There isn't, so I don't see how the FA can justify stamping diving out unless they start handing retrospective bans for similar instances of cheating, like Walker's push, which simply isn't going to happen.

He is right in what he says though, if the players on the field aren't up for it the crowd struggle to get lifted. It's his job to make sure the players lift the crowd who will then drive them on.
