I think Klopp will stick with the second string, especially with those fixtures either side too.

 

Surely that depends on where you are in the league? it could be a safety net into the CL if you have a stutter due to injuries.

It's a two-legged game, so I think he might start with a weakened side, but the bench will be strong. Start a stronger team in the second leg if needed.
It all depends on who we have available (obviously) but also how the PL is looking by then.

 

We cannot be half hearted about this. Either we say it is not a priority and play our second string like against Leeds and like Arsenal tonight, or like the mancs we go for it with our best team. We'll fall between two stools. I wouldn't mind if we played our second string. The premiership should be our priority. Injuries to key players could be fatal.

I think, to be honest, had we drawn United in the semi it would have been the full team, but if the kids are knocked out against Soton he wouldn't be crucified as much as against United. I honestly believe that had we gone out to Ausburg last season we would have finished higher in the league (not top four though), but we were playing the reserves in games like Swansea and Southampton i the league.

I think that Klopp will play some younger lads vs Southampton but also more first team regulars. He'll also have a strong bench, this is a winnable trophy we don't want to get all Arsenal and start pissing about and end up with **** all.

 

It will definitely be a dilemma for Klopp. He has so far mixed youngsters with some seniors. If he gets through the saints with the same strategy and reach Wembley does he then change it all against the best team Mourinho can offer (I honestly cannot see hull and phelan stopping him)? We won't be happy to be turned over at Wembley by them of all people.

The team we played against Leeds would be crushed by the team Mourinho started yesterday. No doubt.

 

The best team we have plays in the final if we got there no doubt but I wouldn't have a problem with one or two who have helped get us there playing.
