Plenty of time left in his career for him to get his top goalscorer record <ok>

Oh wait, you meant too little too late to save Man Utd's season. Yep <cheers>

35 year old Aritz Aduriz scored 5 goals tonight. Rooney should take note, this guy is getting better every year #machine

Mourinho really laying into his players in that interview I thought. Said Fenerbahce started like it was a champions league final while his players started like it was a summer friendly. He also said they deserved the win because football is not all about the quality of players, its also about effort, commitment and desire. Pretty strong words considering how reluctant managers are usually to say anything negative about the team or the players.

Taylor: Why did we hire a manager that had such a dreadful last season at Chelsea? Overrated 1 dimensional rubbish

some of these tweets on the beeb website are good

LiberianChief: Why did Man Utd sack LVG?Even when LVG lost, he atleast knew what he wanted and was confident in his methods. JM is cluless.
Daniel Heel: Martial is meant to be a future Ballon D'or winner? He wouldn't get in goal in my five-a-side team

Good win by Athletic tonight. Given their policy of cantero (they only have players born in the great Basque region - originally they had to be Basque but as we can see it is not so restrictive re Inaki Williams) , it would be great if they progressed to the final of the EL and won it.

So Sevilla look like relinquishing their hold on the EL trophy by actually progressing in the CL. Would be wonderful for such an underestimated team to go all the way to the final.

They've done really well in the EL in recent years. Quarters last year and finalists in 2012 (I think?), would love to see them win it particularly because of Aduriz.

Phil Neville says it's still too early to write off Man Utd's chances in the CL

Can't believe Man Utd fans keep saying they don't care about the EL

They have zero chance of CL next season through the league

Another year without CL and adidas take half their sponsorship money back

Seems tonight the penny may have dropped with some Man Utd fans.. Very similar football to LVG, no risks, no urgency, very much a team without fire. Jose looks passionless, does he have it in him to bounce back from this? No doubting his qualities as a manager but he looks like a man who isn't enjoying doing what he does - though may be completely off the mark.
