    They talked big didn't They?

Wonder if the mouths are going to tweet about that 30mil striker any more , they started that in may and never shut up.

Benteke would have been ideal for them but now they look up **** Creek.

Brady and her cronies showed they really understood football by randomly seeding their ****heads around the bowl and now they've no atmosphere, no team and look like bottom half for sure.

Well said. Concepts that are unusual and alien are easier to criticise.

The best is a mix of the two systems. the most dangerous area is 6 yard box so the 3 tallest guys zonally going to win the ball if it comes is good but then you need everyone esle marking up and blocking runs etc.

The new rules are designed to stop grappling and pulling not blocking and nudging which is IMO where the real skill is.

Look at our goal conceded v hull... clyne switched off and his man and let him pull out actually while he ball watche dit sail over his head then tried to make a half hearted block.. too late!

If you are man marking you have to keep man marking and not switch to someone else unless you really think its more dangerous AND you can't just ball watch cos your man will be trying to find space.

I like this new ruling and proper application of rules. It makes defending more skillfull.. if done well.

Garth Crooks' team of the week: Cech, Smalling, Pogba, Sterling, Aguero

Centre midfield - Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

please log in to view this image

Since January 2015, Philippe Coutinho has scored more goals from outside the box than any other Premier League player (eight)
This guy is my favourite Premier League player at the moment and a real pleasure to watch. Coutinho set up Liverpool's first two goals and then scored an absolute beauty.
I am really interested to know how Jurgen Klopp intends to keep the Brazilian fresh for Liverpool's domestic campaign. Coutinho will have to regularly fly halfway around the world to keep his international commitments and should he ever pick up a long-term injury, Liverpool can kiss goodbye to a top-four place. It's enough to keep a manager awake at night.

Leicester conceded three goals from corners against united. At our worst period we had not done that. What is happening to the champion?.

Thought Savage's bit on defending from corners was very good last night. Seems obviously but with rules tightening on grappling in the box, some defenders have had to change their ways completely like Huth for example.

Might Mean a push towards more zonal so not relying on someone to be able to man mark without holding which obviously isn't working for team like Leicester.

I see spurs fans warned about going to russia.

After the euros we should really wish them safe travels.

When we went in europa a coype times it was not so ultranationalist so all this crimea and ukraine stoking done by putin will come home to roost.

Spurs fans need to hide their colours, go to ground and then come home with tail between legs as the russian police apparently wont Protect anyone

Always think that when someone blames luck, or in West Hams case 'Key Decisions' according to the Con artists (I mean chairmen), is just an excuse cause you don't really know what to do or how to fix it.
Sure there is luck in games but what makes a bigger difference is playing well and being good.

    big match day today.

CSKA v spurs. We could be looking at spurs being in deep **** tomorrow morning having lost again...

Leicester take on thier first real good CL team in porto and are at home. That one will be VERY interesting. They need to win just to get confidence up. there is a lot of cocky press and tabloidy headlines on this one i see.. lose and they could all flip and the pressure could become huge.... as if its not huge enough already.

finally then Borussia Dortmund v Real Madrid... the one i actually want to see.

Has an England manager ever been sacked after just 1 game?

Fat Sam is dodgy as ****, he's like a used car sales man. Wasn't he investigated before, something to do with his brother?
