Theres no easy games in the Prem but i certainly wouldnt say Boro are a tough game. Infact its one of the easiest games we could have had next to Burnley, especially considering they still have a very week squad for the Premiership. That could change of course depending on who they sign.
Playing City first and getting them out the way early can only be a good thing. Pep will still be unsure of his strongest team and hopefully looking to still complete some signings.
The better your team gets, the higher you'll finish up the table, then generally, the fixture lists look fairly so-so each season. You expect a top team in your opening 4/5 games, but so what, they don't wanna play you early doors as much as you don't wanna play them early doors. A good summer window, followed by a strong season and you can stop flapping about unfair and conspiracy theories. Edit: sorry for the patronising tone to this post... try reading it in a gay camp voice and it'll seem less so
Give your head a shake Fife - surely we'd be better off playing 46 games in the Fizzy Pop while we reboot the club and plot our route to The Champions league.
Maybe in the cup, although they like to concentrate on the league and staying in the premiersh............damn that never worked out for them!!!
The local paper in Teesside (Evening Gazette) has been interviewing Boro fans in the town centre today about the fixture list. Most of them seem to think theyre gona be top of the league at the end of August ......... Come back Newcastle, all is forgiven.
Looks a fairly balanced set of fixyures compared to normal, if I reczall correctly the last couple of seasons we've had about 7 tough games (as in against the top teams) in a row
