Any news on Mo? Thought we'd have known if he's on a plane to Austria or being announced as a Magpie by now.
He had the medical yesterday, if he'd failed it, we'd know about it already.
As I said yesterday, I'm surprised nobody else has come in for him. The fact that haven't might tell us something about him.
City have said there was interest from elsewhere, either it didn't come to anything, or Diame preferred Newcastle.
Yeah I know, but interest is different to meeting the (low) release clause. If it had been met I'm sure we'd have heard and I'd expect he'd prefer every single premier league club over the Jawdies save for the 3 promoted ones.
Well at least we can put two strikers on the pitch now as we don't have to accomadate him. I realise that would mean signing someone but just trying to see the silver lining.
Will always be grateful to him for Wembley! But I'd say good luck with all those cold Tuesday nights & the Geordies if you're not putting it in every game! 
Just been am interesting convo an H&J on TalkSport with agent Paul Smith about triggering release clauses. He suggested that any club would put an excessively high trigger point on players they were eager to keep, though there attitude to staying might be dictated by the amount the player has written into the contract. He did say at the start of the interview that there were tow recent ones that were ridiculous (or similar words) that had been completed.

just read this on the BBC site. Would anybody like to see this guy come in on loan or a possible small fee purchase? the fee from Diame might be enough to tempt Everton. Also Aiden Mcgeady appears to be available. Whats everybody's thoughts on these players?

Niasse might have been excellent if Mo had been here... same nationality etc.. same with the Sane brothers... but I think that ship has sailed or sunk in Picky park pond.
McGeady isn't the player he used to be at Spartak, he's on a par with Maloney.
Mcgeady didn't exactly set the world alight at Everton or Wednesday on loan. Niasse was a flop at Everton, but then he had Lukaku to contend with.
McGeady was dropped at Wednesday, the Everton fans think he's shocking, I wouldn't go anywhere near him.

Reports that Hull City are after Manchester United defender Phil Jones this afternoon.
The Daily Record have said Hull initially proposed taking Jones on a season-long loan while Steve Bruce was still in charge.
United are now waiting to see whether Hull will intensify their efforts to get the England international, the paper said
