Yes I have one of these. I'm there now.
Earlier this month, in Perth Western Australia, the final of the $1,300,000 Inter Dominion Pace was run. The championship is run over a series of heats contested over a few weeks. Each horse races in three heats over different distances, and the top ten points earners take to the final. It's a gruelling old affair that sorts the wheat from the chaff. Lennytheshark went into the final as a pronounced favourite. He's drawn gate three. He was expected to lead and take some beating, but he couldn't find the fence.

While on the trotting subject, how would you like a horse as honest as old Neville Vaughan? Here he is having his 148th race start, this time in an up country Trotting Cup Final about a year ago. So far he's won more than $170,000. He's as honest as the day is long. He comes off the 10m mark. He's in the yellow and black, behind the three in front at the start. Managed to connect using my friend's computer, wasn't so easy! That really is great harness racing, Cyc, many thanks for clips. Both Lennytheshark and Neville Vaughan fully deserved their victories, both having raced one-wide most of the way. <ok>

Will try to post clip on the planet's greatest (apparently) trotting race, the Prix d'Amérique 2016 from Paris-Vincennes, if I'm back in time. It Is always held on the last Sunday in January, so next year it's the 31st of that month. Great race, nearly always a thriller.

Happy holiday season to you. Having a ball where I am. Lots of rain, but it's warm so who cares...............
