Cillit - You are the unfortunate guinea pig here.
I hope you checked the validity of the fixtures - meaning - nowt before 3 pm Saturday of the week in question ? It is expected of the first to submit predictions to have validated that fixtures follow the rules.
The next time a cock-up is missed by the first respondee to the fixture list, they will be penalized 10 points. My new rule .
PS: I'm not getting at you pesonally here mate, just want all the other punters to realize it's a pain in the arse to sort out this oversight in fixture selection. You're the unlucky sod that happens to have posted predictions first this week. Haven't checked 'em me sen...but all you other buggers remember - for the first submission of predictions that have a fixture(s) that is/are ineligible....woe betide the first respondee who doesn't check the fixture validity.
PPS: There will also be a 10 point penalty for the original fixture selector if the rules are broken.
I'm considering setting up a new rule that the winner(s) of a given week pick the next week's fixtures.
This should spread it around reasonably equitably based on the last 3 years results - If I don't get more than a 50% vote (of regular participants) against this suggestion then the new rules will apply after this weeks competition.

Sorry tigerscanada and Cillit bang.which one is wrong I took them off the BBC site and checked the times. Agree cillit think the points should be taken off me not him sorry about the extra work. That's what I get for being excited about being top, pride comes before a fall. Sorry again.

who's the tool , who picked and cocked up last weeks predictions. COTM nomination. I wasn't in time to correct my predicts and If I have lost any tally points , then, then ,then .......I'll just have to sack off this competition , bcoz I won't be able to comeback from such a setback. Will I.?

Relax GG, it's been fixed - see my pm to yourself and look at the updated weekly scores post ([HASHTAG]#338[/HASHTAG]) above that reflects your results.

FAO: cdtiger and Cillit Bang.....and all others..

cdtiger - there's nothing wrong with your fixture selections mate. I was just pointing out to Cillit Bang a request I have made several times that whoever first submits predictions after the initial poster should check the accuracy of those fixtures (including k.o. times) i.e. that they follow the general rules & notify the original fixture setter of any errors. The original setter could then edit their original post to reflect any corrections required.
This would prevent the proliferation of erroneous subsequent postings ( most people copy and paste earlier posts & edit for their own predictions).
I want to avoid the situation where I have to scrutinize sets that have different games involved in order to log & report weekly & year-to-date stats.
It's a lot of work, and the 2nd poster would in effect act as an auditor early in the week, minimizing confusion.

My suggestion for penalties for the fixture setter & first predictions poster was somewhat tongue-in-cheek - but if both check the accuracy of the fixtures against the rules it would assist me immensely when errors do occur. Not too much to ask is it ?

PS. I"M CONSIDERING CHANGING THE RULES TO ALLOW 12:45 kick-offs on SATURDAYS as legitimate fixtures for selection.
