I hope West Ham fans receive a stadium ban.Would be hilarious if there first game in the new stadium and it was empty.

I think the reporting has been exaggerated, but there's no excuse for it anyway. It's a game ffs.

 

It was piss poor policing as well.

The outriders should have been well aware that the streets were blocked by thousands out drinking early around the ground, and held the coach well back away from the vicinity until the police cars / vans and horses cleared the road. Then they could have shot straight through.

Instead they allowed the bus to be stationary in the middle of thousands of pissed up Cockneys for ages, which gave the bell ends the time to think about bottling it.

No excuse for it, but it's a situation that should have never arisen.

 

I know these things can be organised better, but I just don't get the mentality of people who want to cause damage or hurt someone over a football game - it's crazy.

Because I genuinely don't think they are any kind of threat to us. They stood in our path in the EL and we brushed them aside with ease. I remember the last half an hour of that 2nd leg against Man Utd - I've never been so relaxed watching the end of a Liverpool game as that. They had nothing.

And next season if we're going to go for top 4 I don't care about Man Utd. If we do our own business correctly they won't be an issue.

You just can't admit you ****ed up with the striker claim. Their lineup is nowhere near strong enough for a sustained challenge even if I give you Mourinho plus the 3 players you want.

You can't trust the police to handle the situation.

They force fans to pick up tickets at awkward times. Man Utd have proven they can't be trusted to arrive on time and should be forced to turn up early.

In that situation it only takes one to lob a bottle and then the herd mentality kicks in.

That's why away supporters coaches are dealt with in the way they are at games when there's a big away support. Roads are blocked off to allow them clear passage. The MET got it wrong yesterday.

a) injured players
b) confused players
c) played players out of position
d) not trained players well

they WILL be challenging next year so get used to it.

Seriously, thirty years on, nearly - and have you seen how much -and a monopoly too - that they charge? Even Group 4 wouldn't **** up as much as they do. And they're still totally above censure. They still seem staggered by the combination of crowds, drinking, crushes and exuberance.

Don't misunderstand - every citizen has a duty to behave, but if we assumed that every citizen would behave and were perfect there'd be no need for the police. They forget their raison d'etre at times. Just to bore you all with yet another railway comparison (!), if all trains ran on time to the very second there'd be no need for signals, and sometimes, when the police royally **** up, they do have overtones of a signaller claiming that the train caused the crash by being ten minutes late, as opposed to he or she signalling a conflicting movement. If you like, a better comparison (if you're understandably bored with railway analogies) is motor car traffic and police doing point duty.

If they can't do the job the FA should train it's own force. **** knows, it'll probably be cheaper.

clyne (back passer) v Darmian... darmian has been injured twice, rushed by van gaal both times injured again, played out of position, confused and messed about.
Shaw v moreno???
Schneiderlin v a milner or a lucas or a can... or a henderson??
Rooney at 10 v most of our lot.. pure bias form us here. He's not what he was but he's still got a lot of skills
Martial is a very very good player
Mata- tehcnically brilliant, always effective

I eman the list goes on. if anything van gaal has completely hamstrung them with negative tactics, slow build up play, no ability to just be positive, over training, rushing players who are injured... the list goes on.

If anyone thinks this side (who did a league double over us btw) will be nowhere next year.. well...
