The bitterness and fear are tangible mate :)

You forgot to highlight the rest of that top sentence btw - as a haven for nurturing promising young talent....

Moshiri is going to invest in both the team and the stadium.....get over it ;)

Yeah, lots of mention of nurturing and maintaining, but not much for actually improving or achieving

is this the same 100mil the rest of the prem is getting and all? like....

    everyone's getting shed loads.

    Establish the following:

    a) is the club collateral on a loan to buy the shares

    b) is he going to do anything for your ground

    c) is there anything about the training ground facilities?

Let us know tobes. Out of interest you understand. theres as many questions as answers right now so i hope you are not setting yourself up here.

Yep and it all looks quite dodgy to me so far

I #legit hope Bill hasn't been conned by 18 months of wining and dining at billionaire restaurants, and there's been no time to judge anything yet

But also so far nothing concrete yet excpet we know for sure Everton has been massively undervalued by this share purchase, and so far there's plenty of money into Bill's pockets but #****all into the club yet

Also the 49.9% move stinks of something to hide rather than a #legit reason, see also the joke +£1 Arsenal bid based on leaked information

    1. No - it came straight from Usmanov, when he took Moshiri's stake in Arsenal
    2. Yes- it was part of the agreement
    3. What about FF? It's on a long lease - owned by LCC. He might try and buy the freehold, but he might not, it's not really important in terms of the future of the club

Do you know anything more than the "I'll look into it" the link you posted suggested?

"Also among Moshiri’s Everton blueprint are plans to address the long-standing stadium issue, be it the proposed move to Walton Hall Park or the prospective renovation of the club’s existing Goodison home."

Only Bill still owns a stake in the club and only sold a proportion of his shares to Moshiri - at £5k a share, which undervalues the club.

He did so on the proviso that there'd be capital investment by Moshiri into the club - notably to sort the stadium

    Yeah mate dead 'dodgy' <laugh>

Unlike Moores who sold you down the river, Kenwright has ensured he's done the right thing by the club.

Kenwright's also taken 10 years to find someone who'll buy his shares but let him keep his job at the club

A job he doesn't get paid for........

Maybe he's taken 10 years to find the right man for the club, as opposed to flogging us off to the first snake oil salesman who turns up like....

    Just a thought.......

The training gorund facilities you guys have are ****. I'd have thought you'd want top top facilities built as part of this.

If the 18 months of wining and dining was just about checking he was the right man, why was he still entertaining offers from the American group up to last month?

So he sold off a load of undervalued shaes on the proviso the value of his remaining shares would be boosted by investment. Very convenient. Probably great for his tax bill too.

not a thing wrong with what you said. sold shares, made money... has a good time on it.

Also has the possibility if it doesn't work he can move on.

@Tobes, on Radio Merseyside's phone in today a resident close to WHP said there will opposition from their community to any proposed move to the park from EFC.
I remember the same issue we had over the failed/scam move to Stanley Park, in the end permission was granted but it took a few years of battling.
If a move to WHP gets back heeled(very unlikely)would blue fans accept a refurb of Goodison or would they demand a new build elsewhere in the city?

Is there anywhere suitable and/or available in the City for a new stadium?

there will always be objections no matter what. I'm sure the council will bend over backwards for everton like they did for us.

The thing we can say is everton probably will see different type of resistance than we had over many years on different reasons.

Permission wasn't granted the minute it was asked for, there won't be "a spade in the ground" for a good while yet.
Unless Tom Hick's and his Canadian pet lapdog are on their way over to partake in the ceremony.<whistle>

no it wasn't but the council did really give a lot of effort to get something done and something out of it. Everton having more fans in = more money coming in the area.

I think for us the council cleared some big hurdles.

Maybe this guy can be <whistle> convinced to build up train link and stay at woodison so both clubs can benefit

There's always opposition when the mention of building on council owned green space is mentioned mate.

The precedent of SP is valid, as there was greater opposition to that when the Shermans went back with their amended plans to increase the size by about a further 30m high iirc. Still got passed anyway.

I think WHP is the hot favourite due to it's location and the LCC assistance with the land. Refurbing Goodison is what many want in preference to that, but the footprint is way too small for the kind of stadium facility (with parking etc) that you'd want to build for multi purpose use. They'd need to do what your lot did and buy up dozens and dozens of properties off Goodison Road to make it practical. To do this they'd need CPO's and we know how long that can take - literally years....

If I was having money on it, I'd lump on WHP happening, now Moshiri has landed. The issue before he arrived was that we couldn't fund it, or give any guarantee of being able to in the future, that's why it's not gone anywhere yet.
