    Once in a while? Who are you kidding you'd gladly watch 50 games of tripe as long as we won them all.

    You're Skysports Channel idea of a wet dream. Someone who believes the myth they peddle that you cant aspire to good football AND get a result. You're Sam Allardyce's footballing concubine.

    I enjoy good football mate and when it's not good I say so...regardless of the result. I dont try to pretend that somehow playing 5hit was necessary to get the result like you do. It's embarrassing quite frankly. Instead why not just say "first game of the season, we played 5hit but got the result" and leave it at that like any sensible person. Not try and convince ourselves we "did what we had to" like we were beating Barcelona in a CL semi ffs!

    Walker had always dreamed about scoring at Old Trafford so when Rooney tee'd it up for him it was an opportunity he couldn't miss.

    Where have I said don't enjoy good football? Of course I do. is there a fan alive who doesn't?

    Do sky push such bollocks? I seem to recall they were pushing Arsenals football for a good few years and before that they were very kind to United. It's only with Chelsea that they have been championing the ****e they play. at the same time they slam United daily. I am not really sure where you get the idea that sky only push results tbh. They seem to just make it up as they go along, contradicting themselves every 15 minutes.

    We played poorly yesterday but it was the first game of the season, the most important thing is the result. Last season we started poorly and lost, the whole thing was a disaster and the club was worse off for it. It's an improvement from day one. I am happy about this. I am happy that we won. I don't really care how we achieved it now but a few weeks and months from now I hope we can produce better. If we don't but keep on winning I will remain happy. I would be far happier if we could really turn it on like I know we can. The squad United have is capable of playing brilliant stuff, we've seen it. We've also seen us play well and lose. Too often for van Gaals liking which means he's put the result first. it's a judgement call that goes against everything he's done at another club. It's a good mentality to have though and you would hope that in time, the performances match the results.

  16. There boards are much better when football isn't on IMO. Talking football constantly gets boring, especially when you already know what half the posters are going to say <laugh>

    I wouldnt disagree with any of that. As for remaining happy, that depends on whether he makes the right choices - regardless of the result if his team selection or player positions cause us to play worse than we should. I do think some of the causes of our poor performances are unnecessary.

    @Treble

    I'm going to leave our little spat with this. Above all else in football I most enjoy the unpredictablity.

    It gets you everytime.

    Well, except Arsenal. Predictable as ever <ok>
