It seems you"re the one arguing for the sake of it, and the fact you don't care about the accuracy of the claim speaks volumes, especially when so much care is given to claims from the club. It's hypocrisy.
And the rest of the world? Can't you just post where you got the claim from, even if it's just twitter?
England has by far the highest ticket prices in world football, if you can find another country with higher prices, then by all means post details and I'll happily accept I've got it wrong. Not that it really matters, being the tenth most expensive in England is bad enough.
So you guessed and you're only comparing the price to the prem, for which we're in the lower half by price. Of course, the figures ignore other factors ignore how many tickets are available at that price and if other schemes need to be joined to be eligible. By that logic, all City need to do is offer an elite club membership package to a few people. It'd cost £541 to be a member, but you get a free season pass, then we'd be top of the list. It's as I keep saying, there's enough real issues without trying to spin things to make it worse. It simply dilutes the argument.
I think I our ticket pricing is a major issue and I certainly don't need your permission to discuss it.
Perhaps you could provide a list of all these clubs worldwide whose cheapest season passes are dearer than ours. Or even half a dozen or so.
And I don't need anyone's permission to query 'stats'. I think most people agree that the cost of football is excessive to almost the point of extortion, but our prices are around the average, so trying to play the victim is counter productive. Surely it makes more sense to focus on football prices overall and get a combined action from clubs to address it. That could well result in football being a less attractive proposition to certain types of chairmen.
Perhaps I could. Perhaps the initial claim should have been clearer, as it misses so many of teh other factors that you yourself have pointed out previously.
We already back the FSF/SD campaigns to reduce prices at all clubs, but as the Hull City Supporters' Trust, we're obviously most concerned with our own prices. The entry price point is just one measure, there's a great many more clubs that have higher average season ticket prices than ours, though they're generally(but not always) playing at a higher level than us. The most important issue is the amount of seats that will be left empty at the KC this season and I believe our pricing policy is going to make that number far higher than it should be.
No read it all but.....We are paying less to watch Leeds (Cat A eg) then we did to watch Man U ( Cat A eg)...but we are paying more to watch Charlton (Cat C eg) than we did to watch West Brom(cat C eg) ......bargain!
I think it would need qualification on availability and other costs that are included before it meant anything. It was a nonsense of a guess to start with. It hardly justifies much more.
I don't disagree, and that would be a better approach than trying to twist figures to make us out to be isolated victims, when we're not.
So the fact that you wrote a specific sentence, then said that you didn't write that sentence, then said that I should look at the post in context and not the actual sentence, isn't hypocritical?
Where did I say I didn't write it? Your claim was that I wanted the club to have a dialogue with fans, which wasn't what I put. I said you didn't read the words around that sentence and tried to make an argument that didn't exist. **** me, some of you seem so desperate to hate and feel hard done to, you loose track of the issues. Edit, I tell you what, to avoid confusion, post the specific comment you're referring to, just so I can see what it is you're trying to say.
Who's losing track of the issues? The issue in this thread is we are way too expensive a club to follow, especially in such a financially challenged City as Hull. Did you know it's £2 for a very small bottle of water at the KC? The fact we are such an expensive club to follow, really can't be argued, but you seem to be having a bloody good go at doing so.
You're actually becoming even more tedious than Happy. Do you ever read any of the self-important, arrogant drivel you post on here? If you do, then fair play to you for not minding how you come across. It takes balls to knowingly make yourself look quite so condescending on a daily basis. I don't know whether to laugh or be impressed.
Post no. 30 If we want the club to listen to fans, we need to offer something constructive. Post no. 54 I didn't say I wanted the club to listen to fans. I don't think they're different now, I also don't think they ignored everything, and I don't think it was that good a cross section. There were people talking outside the groups that did get listened to.
You're losing track of the issue to some degree, my main point earlier was the dubious stats claimed, or at least the questionable interpretation. It could equally be argued ours are average. If you're genuine about wanting prices down, which I think most football fans are, bleating on about being hard done to individually seems a poor way of tackling something that's an issue for most clubs and can't really be done in isolation.
