The Big Smoke
Was watching an interview with slimeball Salmond last night on the news. I don't trust the guy personally but there are many that seem to have a lot of time for him.

He was asked about the "question" and why Scotchland had to wait until 2014 before going ahead with it. I must admit his response was admirable and truthful in that that was when it was stated in the manifesto when it would take place.

The interviewer then said is not the case that you do not feel you can win the vote at the moment. I don't know one way or another but why in the manifesto was it decided to wait until 2014 when the people of Scotland have supposedly been after this for decades?

One other thing, like I said I don't like Salmond but the interviewer started off by saying "say what you like about him, he isn't stupid".

Whenever I hear that I think oh right there's a swinging endorsement of the chaps/chapesses credibilities. No need for it really.

**** the IRA!!

The more this goes on the more I think the English might actually swing the vote for the SNP.

Salmond will be rubbing his chubby hands with glee at the prospect of English public schoolboys Cameron and Milliband leading the opposition.

The Toffs wont even realise it too. They have zero idea about local feelings in Scotland or Ireland. They think their view is 100% correct and anyone with a differing view is some sort of crank.

If he really wanted independence that badly he would have set the date asap and not in 2014

He's stuck in the past (Bannockburn)

2014 is the year Glasgow hosts the Commonwealth games. Hosts traditionally do well in home based sporting events (look at England and '66 for example). Salmond will be counting on a groundswell of jingoistic pride.
