Keeper is a question until ive seen him play half a dozen games. Big gloves to fill.

Soares looking like a good replacement for Clyne; possibly on a par, possibly an improvement.

The two big holes are CB and CDM. I'm hoping we get a top CB in and replacing Morgan was always going to be a question mark. I think Clasie can be a great signing, but as good as Morgan? - I'm not so sure.

Jayrod is back and that looks like a bonus and personally I'd like another centre forward to challenge Pelle, unless Ron has plans for Jayrod doing that.

Overall, I think we are close to last year's squad, but so much hinges on the performance of that spine: GK, CB, CDM.
 
Agree mostly but I really think Long is underrated as a potential target man, don't you think he can really challenge Pelle this year?
 
Ron was very wary about substituting Pelle last year even when, at times, it seemed the best option. With Long playing well and Rodriguez back, it might happen more often this year.

I like our options up-front because we have genuine alternatives not just replacing like with like.
