Monaghan looked like they were going to shoot the lights out today beating Donegal 1-16 to 1-10. Donegal were rightly reduced to 14 when Kavanagh saw the line and got a penalty they never should have. Monaghan killed them on turnovers and look well set.
It's got to be said, Dublin are terrific. Derry got 3 good goal chances but it mattered not one single ****. 3-19 to 1-10. Ominous. I recall Cork Horsing Mayo in the Div 1 final a couple of years back. It looked like Cork were well set to dominate for a while. This is something else again entirely. Dublin play a lovely brand of football.
I thought the Donegal v Monaghan game was a bit of a spiteful game but it was easy for Monaghan in the end. I fancy Monaghan to win Ulster again this year but its a tough province to win. Derry were up against the blue wave yesterday and just could not get near Dublin. I think they will be hard to stop in the summer with the panel they have.
