Those of you too young to remember!
I just loved Marco Tardelli's goal celebration when he scored in the final against them! It made them even sweeter!
I still think Gazza's 'dentist chair' after his goal against Scotland at Euro '96 is my favourite, that was just absolutely brilliant!
This is one of the most memorable and greatest Goal celebrations of all time! Just the sheer look of Joy on his face!
Well, I REALLY hope Brazil don't win the World Cup - the way they kept committing fouls on Rodriguez and not getting booked was outrageous and I'm sure had any other goalkeeper had brought Bacca down, he would have been shown a straight red!!!! Rant over.
It was outrageous the way the ref let Brazil get away with the fouls in the first half. Then in the second he lost complete control and the Colombians had gotten so frustrated at the persistent fouling that they decided to join in, only they hadn't be training at tactical fouling like the Brazilians! Zuniga lost his head, as had Cuadrado earlier in the game. And now the most exciting team (Columbia) and player (James) of the world cup are out and the player that made Brazil (Neymar) is injured, all down to the way the ref let that game get out of hand. And now FIFA have praised him for the way he handled the match! It's like they enjoy being despised by everyone who follows football. I guess it's because they know they can get away with it. This organisation is so corrupt, It's ruining the game for the benefit of the higher ups. GRRRR! It makes me so mad!
Louis Van Gaal's just bought Tim Krul on for penalties! 2 saved out of 20 in the PL, ruins the other keeper's confidence too, not sure what the thinking is there!
I wonder if any of the late editions of the Sunday papers will have the headline - "Krul luck on Costa Rica!"
On a more somber note, sad to see that Alfredo Di Stefano suffered a heart attack aged 88 yesterday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28180146 A true legend and one of the all time greats.
I see The Geordies are complaining that it makes Krul more attractive to other teams and raises his value. An odd take on it in my book.
I agree with Colk about FIFA being corrupt. The whole organisation manipulates football to suit it's own objectives, and if Blatter is re-elected, it's be yet another two fingers up to the footballing world.
