    This shows the truth..

    From the very start we were poor. We picked it up for a period of 12 games which is good but tailed it right off again.

    You have to be taking 7 to 8 points a block to get 70 points. We were never on it from day one.

    actually no... utd may have fallen over the line but my data shows we've just not done it, played catch up and you can look back to october and november where we really lost any hope.

    Newcastle A, Palace A, Hull at home. 1 point

    the latest **** up is hull away and westbrom away... 1 point out of 6.

    Never mind playing utd at anfield where our toss of a side gave up after it we lost it and play catch up from there.

    Getting 5th at one point looks a miracle frankly.

    5th, and two semis is not abysmal though... lets have perspective. It was poor for first 3/4 months but we did "luck" into a good system and milked it unitl it blew up. the european side was abysmal i will agree.

    Another "good" thing is at least are weaknesses are obvious

    Quite a few of them will be sorted automatically (Gerrard, Johnson), and the areas of weakness are clear and can't be ignored (striker, defensive set up)

    Imagine instead being at Everton. Your biggest spending ever followed by your worst performances ever. Where the **** do you start with that lot?

    we will... unlike the snide english press and juveintl small clubs like spurs we know that if you are to not be a dog chasing a car you have to build your coefficent and squas in european competition to be able to take o nthe CL challenge if we do get there

    TI was patently obvious we were useless upfront and we still managed to get to maybe mid 60s in points.

    no buy in january = huge failure imo

    3 **** forwards to move out now along with the out of contract dross.. tats the only issue.. actually getting them to go.

    Yeah I know, we have #bitter specimens in the other thread. Apparently their coping mechanism is to deny ever spending the money. There is also some imaginary team they believe in who has outspent them #twentyfirstteam
