McLaren also doing the same: thejudge13 ‏@thejudge13 Here comes some Saturday #f1 Jerez track action from McLaren filming day. I have to be careful that my alter ego is not discovered though..
I very much doubt that had Jenson actually cut the corner in the way you describe that he'd still be suprised the lap time, or use the words "i think". It also would have been really obvious to all the people in that stand so surely it would have been widely reported. I read somewhere that he said that jokingly, probably need a video of his comment to be sure.
So, Button was on hards (which were actually SS but breaking news were a special quali only tyre!), cut the chicane and was on a low fuel run and only managed an 18.800 (Perez did 18:900????) Vettle was on hards, didnt cut the chicane had full tanks, the hand brake on and was towing Webber round and did an 18:500. Excellent, so Vettle is the best driver in the best car - no excuses and anyone who gets a sniff of a win must be outdriving themselves and the machinary!
Yeah well Seb went so quick he put a 1:06 remember? It was so fast the FIA needed to add another 18 seconds to the time to make it look closer to the rest
Has nothing to do with Jenson's ability, even if Lewis, Alonso, Seb, Kimi did that time on such a green track, people would wonder how he did it, was it car, did he cut the chincane, was he on the SS? etc etc... The time was so much faster than anything else people were just wondering how "legitimate" it was.

I agree, they reckon 10kg of fuel = 0.4 a lap which would mean Seb would be 2.4 seconds a lap faster than the Ferrari with the same fuel plus another 0.8 - 1 sec extra for using the same tyre, which doesn't make any sense to me. How did the RB9 jump 3 seconds over the Ferrari within a few months and late in design? Just Italian papers spreading BS again in my opinion trying to make out Ferrari is ****e again and that Alonso is the man making a difference and that Seb should be "lucky" to have such an advantage when they start to qualify 0.2-0.4 behind him all the time
Just the proof needed to keep the Button fans happy: Autosport (GMT time):15:49 Button flashes past the pits in 1m18.861s to put his McLaren on top of the times. please log in to view this image Autosport 15:51 The new best comes from Button's first lap of a run, with a follow-up of 1m19.696s next time by. 3 minutes after that picture... please log in to view this image Autosport: 15:53 Button wraps up a short outing on the hard tyres with a 1m20.450s before returning to the McLaren garage.
agreed, and as for reliability, it's when you put the pedal to the metal for every lap that things start breaking. Ht only thing that we can safely say is everyone has a car that works, and we havn't been able to say that at the first test since HRT became involved
Can we just skip the rest of testing and the wait and start the season now please, its been too long without a grand prix on my screen
You're forgetting Williams ran their 2012 spec car. I always loathe testing each year, we get all excited and have an argument about things we have sod-all data about.
Because micro-analyzing everything to the ends of the earth with flawed logic, an arguably bias view and what comes across as trying to be superior drives me absolutely mad.
And hypocritical argument seekers trying to declare themselves as the voice of reason within the group, pretending to be the "single post big man" and like to tell us "how it is" on their custom made computer soap box drives me mad as well... I post for F1, not for social gains.
Bwahahaha.. Custom made computer soap-box. Oh the Irony. Did that come from one of your "sources"? Look... I can do inverted commas too.
FFS guys, the universe is here and we are on this planet due to the "chaos theory" no amount of maths, or analyses can make sense of it, F1 in my opinion is exactly the same, we can at least try to coexist in a more cohesive and tranquil environment. Oh, Bollocks to that, lets smash the place up, !!!!!!!
Pahahaha, I am just amazed how things are so tense, and the season hasn't even started, all I know is that Schumacher has retired so I can have fun from now on. Funny to see Silver and Bhaji crying about testing, who knows what is going to happen in the season, somebody will be admitted to a mental hospital and get banned that is all I know.
