Who are you and what have you done with Forza Just once I would love to hear those words directed at Paul about Sebs major hand injury during that season. By his logic Eddie Irvine beat Schumacher while he injured his leg
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/21641411 Nice impartial article from the well loved Benson. Strong lap by Hamilton, what tyres was he on? Anybody got an inkling about what fuel loads/runs? Would love to see the RB do some short runs. Sutil looking strong IMO.
I don't know if it's just me but by ignoring the times the Ferrari looks really sharp! and to me without seeing true pace of the RB9 is looking like the fastest car on the grid.
I think it's impossible to pick a pecking order, it will vary from circuit to circuit with the teams being so close. Melbourne is nothing like Barcelona, qualifying's going to be incredible, not just Q3 but Q2 as well. Edit: Also, I don't think we'll get teams sitting out Q3 because with the field being so bunched it could cost you a few rows on the grid.
For me ATM: Ferrari/RBR Lotus (But reliability problems) Mercedes McLaren Lewis still looking a bit concerned about race pace.
Lewis did not look that confident in the interview he just gave to Sky, reckon he knows Merc have already shown their hand while Red Bull and Ferrari are yet to show what they can truly do. Tommorow will hopefully give us a better indication with Vettel and Alonso in the cars.
A few lick of the lips and a few head scratches is what I could see so "some" anxiety and irritation. Other than that it does sound like they are knocking on the big 4, maybe even able to overtake McLaren who look to be in the poo atm. Seems a bit displeased about the car going to Australia though, maybe the car takes a long time to sort out properly and I was correct in believing they're at 100% already?
Though it's encouraging as fan of Hamilton, I'm reading nothing in to it at all. I don't believe they are anywhere near RBR and Ferrari at this point, but if it turns out they are at the start of the season then I'll be very pleasantly surprised. I fully expect both Mercedes drivers to be in the bottom half of the top 10. Looking forward to seeing how Rosberg fairs against Hamilton though. Maybe we'll get a good measure of him finally.
Weren't Williams desperate for sponsors in 2011? Pretty sure they'd lost RBS and a couple of other main sponsors.
Yeah they were having a bit of a rough time of if. I don't think Merc need to top the sheets for any particular reason and I don't think Hamiltons time was a true glory(hole) run... I just don't think we've seen the best of the others yet. We may not until Aus. This is why testing is pony.
please log in to view this image Looks like the tyre really did hit the cliff.... He was pushing 100% with that lap, just look how low the tread is on the insides, there's nothing left!
