Pepe, Benitez, and Napoli need some results to go their way along with winning by 3 goals...... sounds familiar.

Wisdom looks to really have grown in confidence since his loan move, he's breaking forward superbly. Very good with the ball at his feet.

An opportunity to see Will Hughes too, so far not seen anything worth writing home about...

Charlton v Barnsley been called off so McLaughlin will have to wait to make his debut. Be interesting to see how he get's on. Not really seen him play but heard he's got a lot of potential.

Wisdom is too good for Derby imo. I think he will either be part of our squad next season or loaned to a prem team.

  14. I obviously wouldn't want either of them but if I had a gun to my head, I'd chose Konchesky over Kvarme <yikes>

I know Wisdom has done overall well at Derby, but some faults were exposed in the game yesterday. Playing against a rapid player, lets him get a yard, turn and face him almost every time. Whoever was the right mid on his side was not helping but when he was getting overloaded with a 2v1, kept chasing the ball and not making the player make a decision ( show them out the way, show them in). As a right back, ball on the other side, he would sometimes get caught napping and a big gap between himself and the CB. De Laets goal ( 2nd) if Wisdom would have been tucked in a bit more he probably blocks the shot or at least puts him off.

Again, just from what I saw yesterday BUT this is alllll good things for a young kid playing against a team in top form. He will learn from this.

  16. Wisdom needs to do well at a Premier League club before I start looking at him. Many players have performed in the Championship but failed when making the step up. Last year's so-called best player isn't even getting a look in at Man Utd! Pacheco, Adam, Carroll, etc - they all excelled in the Championship!

He is much more suited to being a CB though and if he goes to a prem team next year I feel he will develop further.

He's been outstanding for Derby and certainly has contributed to their excellent run.

There is still a lot of room for improvement but he does have a bright future ahead of him.
