Too often in the past we have let players go for well below their true value last one was a certain Mr Pitman.
Latest from the rumour site. 23 Jul 2013 09:28:17 Bristol city have offered contracts to Marlon Harewood and Elliott Parish, both expected to sign before opening day of the season. Source: Alistur Durden twitter. (Who works with bcfc club) Also SOD has said that he is fustrated at Wigan for not bidding for AA. Source: ssn Wigan have made a bid with add ons up to 1m. According to Doyle Bristol keep changing the deal so they may pull out. Bristol City are not changing the deal the price has not been met yet by penny pinching Wigan. AA would be more than happy to stay at BCFC as its a club he loves so if the offer is not matched he will be staying at BS3 Wrong, deal offered by Wigan was 850k up front rising to 1 million with add-ons but now Bristol City want full fee up front which is fair enough! 23 Jul 2013 14:32:36 Liam Fontaine will not be joining Blackpool after the Bristol City defender failed a medical. Blackpool have instead approached chelsea for Andreas Christensen on loan. Albert Adomah could be set to join Genoa Odd story about Fontaine as I can't find anyone that I know that is connected with Blackpool in any way who knows anything about Liam being up there for a medical but then I don't know Ince or Oyston personally so it might have happened plus this is the first time I've seen Genoa as a destination mentioned for Albert.
Latest from Ghananet about Albert July 13 -- Winger Albert Adomah is likely to join an English Premier League side Cardiff City by next week. I wasn't aware Cardiff had even made an offer or is this yet another case of them trying to make something happen?
24 Jul 2013 10:26:00 Bristol City and Crawley Town are known to be courting the creative midfielder Marlon Pack who has been named in the League Two team of the year for the past two seasons. Cheltenham are expecting to receive around £100,000 in compensation for Pack, who is unable to leave on a 'Bosman' free transfer as he is under the age of 24.
24 Jul 2013 13:38:42 Bristol City are still keen on bringing in Martin Woods, Marlon Pack, Marlon Harewood, Elliot Parish and an unnamed striker but this all hinges on the sale of Albert Adomah but with Wigan reluctant to pay anywhere near City's valuation they may make some of their higher earners available Fontaine Killkenny and Pearson could be shipped out
Didn't Martyn Woods sign a 3 year contract for a London based club a couple of weeks back 2 days after he left AG so I herdly think we are going to pay a fee for someone we could have signed for nowt.
25 Jul 2013 00:25:19 bristol city news: steve davies looking likely to leave for blackpool for 800k his replacement will be james Collins from Swindon for 200k. marlon pack will also join for 100k. Yup he is as good as gone as it stands medical in the morning. 24 Jul 2013 23:26:19 Bristol City accepted a 800k bid from Blackpool for Striker Steven Davis this evening (of all the clubs to chuck the money about, Blackpool? Seriously). Expected to discus personal terms but this maybe a hitching point for the tangerines as he'll need to take a pay cut. 24 Jul 2013 17:42:26 Bristol city striker steven davies is set to have a medical at blackpool tomorrow and chopra is having his today, promising signings for blackpool since karl oyston has gone on holiday If he is expected to take a pay cut after the 40% reduction he has already had to put up with then Blackpool are really expecting to get players playing for peanuts next they will be asking fans to bring in food parcels to give to the players as they will be expected to play for nothing.
BCFC Supporters Page ‏@BCFC_Supporters 3h Davies is due in Blackpool today for talks. The fee agreed is around £500,000. #BristolCity
25 Jul 2013 11:44:37 Aaron mclean was watching bristol city v reading last night. Does this mean he's signing? Not sure if this means us or Reading??
Prolific scorer at L1 level something like a goal every 2.1 games Nothing like as good at Championship level closer to a goal every 4.5 games. TBH I would be surprised if he was being considered for either club before the game last night, Reading want players who can take them back to the Premiership and keep them there S O'D only found out just before the match that a bid had been made for Davies so unless he was expecting Millwall to come back with a proper bid then I can't see him asking Aaron to the game. However now that Davies might be leaving it opens the door for the right players to get contracts.
it was just what was reported Smh. Mainly on twitter. As for the McLean rumour he was apparently part of the "triangle deal" Which would see Baldock move to Burnley, Austin move to Hull and McLean move to us. Austin failed his Medical and the rest is history. Perhaps SOD is still keen. Again though those rumours are wrote by ordinary people who can quite easily make it up.
Sorry hawk, I get quite a few messages, Did you want to mail me? You can if you want to now, Cleared a few spaces
26 Jul 2013 11:51:03 Marlon Pack is training with Bristol City and will feature for the club in the friendly tomorrow. 26 Jul 2013 11:50:40 Sam baldock joining Bristol rovers on loan for the season 26 Jul 2013 11:00:41 Bristol city are in talks with Watford striker Britt Assombalonga this is coming from a local radio station. Old one! 26 Jul 2013 01:35:12 Bristol City are hoping to tempt Billy Sharp to Ashton Gate. Sharp is a keen admirer of O'Driscoll as a manager, but is very reluctant to drop down to League 1 level. City are working on tempting him to the Gate. City are also looking into buying James Dunne or Marlon Pack to make up for the loss of Liam Kelly after suffering an injury. 25 Jul 2013 23:19:44 Bristol city are putting together a deal for billy sharp which will b a low weekly wage 5k a week with massive bouns for goals scored and promotion and lansdown will sponsors him 10k a week from his own pocket to avoid ffp. This all hinges on Davies going to Blackpool and if city can get rid of Albert, Elliot and Pearson 25 Jul 2013 22:52:25 Billy Sharp and Marlon Pack are both set to complete moves to Bristol City in the early part of next week.
The only way round the SCMP is to give a massive bonus for promotion like saying here's 5K a week wages but if you fire us to promotion and the league championship with your goals there is a £1M bonus for you then Steve Lansdown needs to place a wager with the Bookies £300K on us to be champions (between 9 and 11 to 1)that would give him a £3M+ pot to pay out the bonus payments. apart from anything else would be a massive incentive for all the players to fight for every point and I would think that he would consider it to be 300K well spent if it gets us promoted again.
