No vested interest on my part, but in fairness to others the rules need to be adhered to ? In fairness to iTom, he may not have realized that the Newcastle- Liverpool game was an early ko....but rules is rules & all that. Ricardo's OP rules state that no game shall ko before 3pm on Sat - which we all seemed to have missed given we all entered a prediction for the game.I await your sage advice. For what it's worth, my opinion is eliminate this game (Geordies vs Scousers) from this week's mix...we all buggered up by not recognizing the pre-3pm K.O. iTom would still be this weeks winner with 10 pts. We're all good at this naturally . This of course would be very unfair to HFFP (he potentially may not regain the 3 points he gained this week. It gives Sir Cheshire Ben & HCHKR a mixed outcome - lose a point or gain 2 extra points. PPS. It could be simpler of course just to give iTom the benefit of the doubt and let his pick (3 points) and all the other submitted predictions stand as is. Maybe you've already made this call Duffen ? ON SECOND thoughts, perhaps we should leave as is & give iTom a break this time, but in future such transgressions by anyone submitting after say 2:30 pm on Saturday would deem their entry completely Null & Void for that week. Also, as the rules state, no selections of early KO's of Saturday games (UNLESS the game involves City).
Actually the kick off was 12:45 and my prediction was made 30 mins into the game, so therefore it was 1-0 to Newcastle at that point, which would see the 2-2 become quite a bold prediction. I certainly did not try to "deceive" any of you, I simply did not know the rules of this and I thought I'd be able to make mine a bit late into the game. I guess rules are rules, but who would of thought it would be 2-2 from Newcastle going 1-0 up...
