I don't want to worry you gents, but the picture of the back of the shirt on your website seems to show a bit of a cock-up. It's got the rose of the East Riding of Yorkshire on it.
Why does that preclude you from wearing it? Did it completely come off or just partially? I have a number of shirts going back to the Nike days but do not intend to buy again. I cannot stand the sponsors logos sprayed across them.
This design is way too busy! Agree with those who have written about plan coloured kits. Kappa approached the club a few years ago. Their account is that "Bates was impossible to deal with!" Who would have thought, eh?
It's very different, so I can see why lots of people have had an adverse reaction to it, but by the same token if we go up next season I can easily see it being looked back on as "the iconic promotion winning kit" or some-such. It's very different, but it's very nice looking too. I would have preferred to see something like this in our centenary season as an homage to our first ever kit: please log in to view this image JLA - To be perfectly honest I'd much rather have Macron than Kappa, their kits always look ridiculous!
Who wants to bet that the board gave bates the responsibility of sorting the kit out to make him feel useful and keep him quiet?
My internet was being a dick for a good minute and a half, seems every time I tried to refresh it to get the page back it reposted the comment.
Quality is probably much better though - what do those Italians know anyway? (Ironic - both companies are Italian!)
BTW, according to Wiki, "...macron, from the Greek μακρόν (makrón), meaning "long"..." - how descriptive for Warnock style footie!
Just seen it. That stripe seems out of place. I'd rather have Kappa over Macron if I'm being honest but I'd prefer Adidas or Nike as the supplier.
Who actually sat down and designed this monstrosity of a kit? It can't have been someone with any understanding of the history and tradition of Leeds United. It's going to wind me up no end watching us play in that, and then seeing teams like Tottenham, Swansea and Bolton in Leeds United colours Hopefully when the club sees no ones buying the new design they'll have a rethink, bow to popular demand and give the fans what they want - Leeds United play in WHITE
Actually it's got the Yorkshire Rose on it with a football in the middle, same as on our badge. Don't you humberside folk start trying to claim the Yorkshire Rose as your own
They're on about the alignment of the rose. Something about one Riding having 3 petals at the bottom and 2 at the top, and the other being the other way round.
Well if that's true then the cock up isn't a recent one. This is our old badge please log in to view this image
