Bradley Allen Has said Spurs have tried 433 and 442 on the training ground, and are thinking about using 442 more
It's over!!! \o/ Well that was dull and pointless. **** pitch in the first half, familiar problems, Soldado doesn't make enough dashes across the defender and seems to have other ideas to out crosses whilst our crosses weren't much good anyway. On the plus side no one got injured, Dembele and Capoue were up and running afterwards. Pointless subs though. I guess it's from a man under pressure though choosing not to bring on the young lads to make sure the result is as favourable as possible.
He scored such a variety of goals for Valencia, I just don't get it. Struggling with better defences is the worst case scenario here, is he good enough after all? confidence looks shot to me, body language isn't great, you never want to drop a player you hope they come through it, third of the way through the season and we must start scoring again now, its a dilemna.
If non top four players like Defoe or Crouch can score in the premier league then on paper a striker who was leading the line for Spain and had a better goals to chance ratio then Ronaldo in la Liga, shouldn't have problem? Right? It could be that Soldado just won't settle here and he won't be the first big money flop from abroad. We should have signed Michu and Remy, but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Confidence plays a huge part in football and he's clearly got none at the moment. If we continue with this set up, it won't change. It's got to the point where it's actually pointless us having a "striker" on the pitch. We'd be better off having another midfielder so we can pass it around a bit more
Leading the line for Spain is no badge of honour, because they can still play without one at all! , in seriousness he only has 12 apps at 28yrs old, but he has had Torres, David Villa, and of late Pedro to contend with, he's only played in friendlies and early Confed matches from memory. I can't take any comparison with a striker (CR7) that scores over 40 goals a season seriously either...RS or any other striker is going need 2/3 seasons to match that. Michu is having a much quieter season don't you think? My missus works in London and brings the Evening Standard home, last nights edition had this in it... http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...enham-unless-he-performs-tonight-8969239.html ....re. the link headline, I wondered what that cryogenics tanker was doing at Hotspur Way this morning!
What is he doing in the midfield of the pitch,no wonder our wingers cut in,there's no one in the area to pass to!
It was a joke based on the fact he kicked off 6 times making his heat map show that as his most active area. I only skim-read Savage's analysis as I felt like I was becoming more stupid by each sentence I read but I think that flew over his head and he criticised Soldado for spending so much time in the centre circle.
