I think people who have chosen Lewis should have the right to change their vote if they feel Lewis cant win it now.
should still do fine. if he starts from 6th, then he can jump ahead at the start and if he keeps it all solid in the pit stops has a good chance.
The way polls are set up here that's not possible. Having failed to win from pole twice, 6th place might be good for him. With the weather looking how it does, there may be other top drivers out of position too.
Bad news for Lewis. Still, he had problems before last year's race and he'll have to show the same spirit again to win this year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Team Lotus, eh?! That old feud with Fernandes just won't lay down and die!
Sky Sports saying somebody has protested the Mercedes f-duct... http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/news/12433/7666998/Protest-launched-against-Mercedes
Between this and Bahrain the spectators have a controversy-laden GP to relish, in the finest traditions of F1 and everything it stands for. I just hope there are enough of them to cope. This protest gets referred to the race stewards. Does anyone know what their report needs to cover? Does it need to explain why it's legal or just that it's legal?
Lewis always seems to have gearbox problems for some reason, the bad luck continues. My vote for Jenson is looking good now as he will likely be gifted his first pole for McLaren. Though Lewis was 5th after the first pit stops last year, who knows.
It's Lotus who have lodged the protest. When are the teams going to notice that A) Mercedes have sucker-punched them and it's legal so just get on with it and B) their car is still a dog even WITH this extra DRS boost?
Either: - They want it banned so Mercedes lose their quali advantage. OR - They want the FIA to reveal a report explaining how it works so they can build their own.
They must know that the former won't happen though, I suppose I hadn't considered that the FIA would have to help them.
Lotus and Red Bull would be comfortably ahead of Mercedes without it, both would pose more of a threat to McLaren if they didn't have to negotiate the Mercedes at the start of each grand prix.
This, I agree they need to maintain their advantage from Qualifying otherwise it will be all over in a blink of the eye.
I think we could see a Merc on the front row if its dry, and then stay in the top 3 till at least.... the first pit stop.
