i think its him adjusting to not having the fastest car anymore, he was on the edge of getting into Q1 bvecause he was relying on his first lap and in Q2 his second was not good enough. he even got outqualified by alonso in a car thats off the pace, vettels car is good enough for him to have been able to beat alono and get into Q3. i think webber has his best chance yet to beat vettel this year and i hope he does, simply because webber wont be in F1 for much longer and he might not get a chance as good as this again
Yes, I was just trying to imagine a scenario where Red Bull would have to back Webber: do you think they would? I suppose they'd leave it very late if at all.
I'm really looking forward to this race, I really don't know which way to call it. Mercedes in the front row, Sauber and Lotus just behind. Early days still but thus far we've had a great start to the season.
Red Bull cocked Vettel's chances up when they changed their exhaust layout very late into testing. From the outside looking in it looked like the Red Bull was the fastest in testing so I didn't see the reason to change it.
Some great comments from Ross Brawn with regard to Nico, "that's how good we know he can be" I hope Nico goes off to win this race, the guy just needs confidence to get started on the path to the WDC.
It's a totally different situation. Ferrari were paying Schumacher £25m a year to give them their first title in almost two decades. They couldn't afford for Schumacher to be shown up by Irvine. Red Bull have already won two WDCs and two WCCs with Vettel and don't need to prove that they're backing the right horse.
Well Vettel needs to sort this out soon. Getting outqualified by Webber three times in a row is bad enough, but being outqualified by a Ferrari is just embarrassing for a driver of his calibre. He needs to adapt quickly, or hope that Newey can get the exhaust working like McLaren have.
Ability is one thing, experience is another. Both have ability but one of them has double the experience in F1 so it's debatable that it's only experience that's helping him win the driver battle this season. Webber being for years in cars that didn't do what he wanted them to do looks to be paying off now in this current situation. He is able to make a bad situation into an alright one as I think Webber is making that car look better than it actually is come Quali. Seb is still on the learning curve even if he is a double world champion, this is something new for him what did everybody expect? Both drivers are being outclassed by Lotus' and Saubers, so what does it say about the car? I agree Seb has to now pull his thumb out and try to turn this around and quickly but RBR have to sort out that exhaust flow first because it isn't working.
Great Qualifying, Rosberg's lap was amazing !. Tomorrow should be a good race but i cant see Mercedes staying up there sadly. I would also like to thank him for fulfilling my bet....
It was the one in which Villeneuve and Schumacher were chattering while Hill was answering questions. Hill said, "pay attention, boys, you might learn something." They giggled and Schumacher said, "ok, grandad." I'm just wondering what's going through Hamilton and Rosberg's minds while Schumacher's trying to be down with the kids.
