Does anything think this race could be Rosberg's first win?

Probably unlikely, but with Hamilton out of the way it certainly improves his chances. He's done quite well here before: he led in 2010 then choked, he led in 2011 then had to save fuel.

All these people writing Hamilton off remember this last year. Webber started 18th and finished 3rd.

Well he's a man in serious need of a result but I think that he'll falter against the competition over the course of the race.

No, they don't have the race pace. Hope he doesn't choke quali again though because he's got a real shot at pole and I have money on him... AGAIN!!

His problem is that Schumacher is going all-guns-blazing right now. I think he's getting affected by the situation in his own team when he should be focusing on the bigger picture.

The difference is that Webber had brand new set of options to use to catch up, Pirelli's were still pretty new with drivers, EBD was around for top teams only.

Lewis has no EBD, he will likely qualify high and not have spare options, teams are more knowledable of degredation around here compared to last year.

That's not including strong cars around him like Lotus, Williams, Sauber all behind him at the start. It's a whole different senario for Lewis, history wont help him overtake others cars unless he throws the whole book at them. I still reckon he has the ability and the car to get on the podium again, just not the win as the field he's up again is stronger than last year "as a whole".

There's also the tyres to consider. mercedes need it to be wet or cold to stand a chance.

Maybe the local rebels have burnt a set. The FIA should ask to inspect any degredation that may have occured during the burning.

It's annoying, i want to watch practice 3 at 4am, but the thought of James Allen commentating is putting me off it.

If i had to call it. Post Penalty.

    1. Button
    2. Schumacher
    3. Rosberg (doesn't make a mistake)
    4. Vettel (may pip Nico)
    5. Webber
    6. Hamilton

Button tends to complain early on the pull it together so im convinced of a crisis yet. Very important P3 for him though.
