Thats because Kimi couldn't be bothered. He has a point to prove now, i'd expect him to be motivated, and try and challenge Vettel, if they were to end up as team mates.

No, seriously. Everyone said that he couldn't be bothered (well, they said he was "lacking motivation")

Looks like Virgin are signing Charles Pic for next season. Weird, i thought Robert Wickens would have been a certainty.

oh, i think Kimi was motivated, motivated to put his WDC to good use and party hard, I thik he became a bit bored of F1 and wanted to do something else. He's been away long enough, and it's not like he's the first F1 driver to take a sabbatical because he wasn't feeling the love. And I can think of 2 that I've seen come back and become WDC's again.

Lauda out for 2 years, took him 3 years to win it again after coming back with McLaren.

Prost out for 1 year, got the most advanced Williams in it's history (so far then) and won in the first year.

Kimi out for 2 years, all top flight seats not under real threat, so has got a Renault or Williams for next year.

The task looks bigger for Kimi than the other 2 had so I'll put the icecream on hold for now, could take 3-4 years to see him back up the front.

Schumacher out for 3 years, moves into a 4th place team, critized for having a mediocre comeback judged on the 1 and 1/2 years. Ridiculous.
This time last year Nico was massively ahead of Michael, this year the gap is only 5 points... what has made this difference smaller? Nico getting slower, or Michael improving.

Massa is the catalyst for a big shift in f1 drivers.

How I see it as of after India, in order of replacement.

    Massa-Rosberg-Di Resta-Hulk...

Well said Silver. I said something about this in another thread. Theres some top drivers who deserve to be in that second seat . Massa's gone past his sell by date and needs to be thrown out like a garbarge bag on thursday mornings (northampton's garbage pickup day lol) the guy hasn't been on the poduim in a year and hasn't won a race in 3 years . He doesn't deserve that ferrari seat. If ferrari want to get some wcc in the future then get rid of him , Simple .

I would like to see this line up, but it's pretty unlikely!...

Red Bull - Vettel + Webber
    McLaren - JB + Lewis
    Ferrari - Alonso + Glock
    Mercedes - Schumi + Rosberg
    Lotus - Kimi + Kubica
    Sauber - Kobi + Perez
Force India - Di Resta + Hulk
    Williams - Sutil + Massa
Torro Rosso - Ricciardo + Algersuari
    Caterham - Kovi + anyone...
    HRT - Don't care...
    Marrusia - Likewise...

Hulk + Di Resta- Force India (Probably)
    Kobayashi + Perez- Sauber
Ricciardo + Algersuari- Toro Rosso (Also Probably)

F1 has a mighty strong young driver line up :D
