Does anyone know if the African Cup of Nations is televised in the UK this year?

If so, what station is it on?

Adds a bit of interest for me now that we have a player there. Think the last time we had a player was Geremi and i can't really say i ever looked forward to watching him play anyway. Allez les elephants (and senegal)

British Eurosport? Actually **** my life. They've not done a decent broadcast in years.

Hopefully all the games available online.

I've just seen a tip for a Senegal and Ivory Coast final, that would be class.

Sadly yes. I cant see past the Ivory Coast winning though, their team is fantastic (Drogba, Kalou, Gervinho, Toure brothers, Eboue, Tiote, Zokora). Senegal have 3 fantastic strikers and not a lot else as far as I can see.

Sure BBC 4 had it last time. Whether it was a success for them in terms of viewing figures will probably dictate whether they show it again.

I think the Ivory Coast and Senegal sides will implode in dutch esque fall outs and both will fail to pass the first hurdle. I'm worried about the pitches they'll be playing on to be perfectly honest. Demba had to miss the pre season games on artificial pitches because of his knees, and Cheik has had recent problems. here's hoping they are of a decent standard but I'm not expecting the luxury of a PL pitch being afforded to the players.
