Leicester City Hull City ---------------- Birmingham Bolton Ipswich Town Nottingham Forest We are going up !
There you go since I literally had to spell it out for you. In short we are a shambles/lack of preparation.
Realistically the club is in for a another season of re-building, having a completely new manager unfamiliar with all the lads isn't going to help. I'm not making predictions other than I'll be happy to see us safe in mid-table.
Its a shame that fans can't praise Barmby for what he did, just shows what completely unrealistic expectations our fans have, all those promotions to the top-flight in our history, oops sorry the one my mistake. 8th was a great finish for a rookie manager given half a season. How many times have we finished 8th in that league, it's probably one of the best half-dozen seasons in our history.
Oh, right, no wonder I couldn't see your reasoning, it 's your usual negative bollox without reasoning. Thanks for clearing that up.
Gonna have to go take a cold shower reading this threads set me off, anybody thinking we are play-offs or above next season well I admire the optimism completely against all given circumstances and the clubs history.
Promoted : Birmingham + Bolton (if they can keep their squad together + don't have to have a fire sale) Hopefully we will be in the play offs with any 3 of a dozen teams who might in there with us Relegated: Barnsley, Millwall, Peterborough
1. Birmingham - just fancy them 2. Wolves - not too may players will leave 3. Leeds - already buying like Leicester 4. Leicester - hate to say it but they will do fantastic next year with Nige incharge 5. Bolton - very good manager 6. Hull City - think we will do well 22. Burnley - Rubbish 23. Peterborough - Rubbish 24. Barnsley - Rubbish
By going on a run of something like 1 win in 11? (I cant be arsed to check). What was our form under Barmby? I'd love to see a table based on results from when he took over. I'd suggest we finished 8th because of what came before him but I might be wrong, like I say I'd love to see that table if anyone was seriously bored.
Why don't you trundle off and produce those stats. But when you do go and also find the stats for Sir Alex Ferguson's first half season in charge of Manchester United.
1. Bolton 2. Leicester 3. Blackpool 4. Birmingham 5. Wolves 6. Hull City 22. Peterborough 23. Huddersfield 24. Barnsley
Swap the top two... and it'll be perfect! Mine are... 1. Cardiff (soon to be money bags) 2. Middlesborough 3. Brighton 4. Hull City 5. Derby 6. Blackpool. 22. Barnsley 23. Blackburn 24. Bristol City
