I only mentioned this 'unimportant' (in this thread/forum) as I was responding to a contributor from Berlin. My last comment on this matter is that I will be visiting Munich in March, May and July this year for some 'fun'. Any future contributions will only be about racing.
Swanny and myself are both expats living in Germany Kenny - I am in Berlin, Swanny "darn sarf" in Bayern
Kenny: Enjoy yourself on your visits, it certainly can be a 'fun' place for sure. No offence, but you know how it is with other teams I am sure, but FC Bayern fans (and their slightly arrogant management*) just get on my ***s sometimes. Success really does go to their respective heads quite often..................... *(Jupp Heynckes excluded, he's a damn good guy).
My fisrt visit in March is during the week of the Cheltenham Festival so I get two holidays in one! In May I am also staying in Regensburg and in July I will also be in Nurnberg. Because the flights with Easyjet go into Munich I always spend a few nights to visit my 'favourites' - Lowenbraukeller at Stiglmaierplatz, Osterwaldgarten next to the English Garden, Andechser am Dom, Bar Centrale, Weisses Brauhaus and 'Netzer & Overath. We better get back to discussing the aftermath of Kempton on Boxing Day!
Long Run proved yesterday what I hinted at above - he is vulnerable over 3 miles to top level horses. Despite what I put on page 1 (about backing Kauto) in the end 7/2 was just too skinny but I still celebrated like I had my house on him. What a horse and I hope they retire him now
I've only just read about SWC's ban he picked up after his ride on Long Run in the KG. I really must try and keep up
