you guys could do with a serious dose of reality. We're muck and we know it... downing is a huge flop and suarez missed 1.4 of the season through being a filthbag really. Gerrard is gone but still plays and is a passenger. carragher was dropped rightly.

If anyone has patience you'll see an improvement in the summer and next year but you have to be somewhat patient while a squad is built...... perhaps rafa just got very very lucky in 2005 cos we were awful that year too.....

  2. The cup form* spread over to a 38 game season equates to just over 99 points. If only we could have had that form in the league eh... <whistle>

    * 11 wins and 1 draw from 13 games would be 34 from a possible 38. 34 divided by 13 times 38 = 99.3446....

But how many times did he actually hit the post/crossbar, or his contributions end the same way. The thickness of the woodwork did for the team many, many times this season! Not saying it was in any way an acceptable contribution, but at least wanting to balance it...

What was the real problem? Too much dependence on Suarez to create some magic, too little faith in Carroll to the extent that he didn't get enough pitch time to find his form and confidence? Too little from the rest of the team to provide ammunition?

A lack of depth in those key positions seems to have been a major factor. Our defence was really great until Lucas got injured and then we seem to have become wary of conceding a goal...

Hitting the woodwork as many times as we did is incompetence. Nothing else.

Downing has not shown any return whatsoever imo.

0 golas. 0 Assists as a return on 20 Mill is so poor.

We'd of been better bleeding some reserves.

Missing the target completely is incompetence, look at Edin Djeko today, barely missing the corner flag with his shots. Getting inches away from a goal is a mite unlucky. And we were the pass masters this season for that, something like 48 woodwork strikes.

I'm not saying it was acceptable, but its not a complete washout. We have potential and we have had a bad season, but we are in a better place than many clubs in the PL. We need some reinforcements to push the likes of Downing - the likes of Sterling to push them hard for the spots. If we need to dip into the transfer pot, so be it...

But we're closer to a good team and squad than a bad one (IMO)...

Been a twat of a season in the League, frustrating because of the many games we've battered teams and drew or lost, the woodwork count instead of goals count making the headlines,KD tinkered to much with the team etc etc.

But cant wait until next season.

It's been embarrassing to be honest. We've became the laughing stock of the league when we paid inflated prices for average players. Then we became the most hated club after the Suarez affair.

Normally, I wouldn't mind what other people think as long as we keep our heads on the pitch and win matches but we struggled to do that.

I still maintain that the return of Gerrard to the midfield disrupted the surrounding players. Adam, Hendo's and Spearings form dipped since he came back but this did coincide with the absences of Lucas and Suarez.

Another factor is that teams aren't afraid to attack us anymore. They come to Anfield and they believe they can get something out of the game. When teams play against Man Utd and City, they fear them and the battle is lost before it's started.

One thing is for sure, we need new players. We are in dire need of some technical players with a bit of pace. Maxi and Kuyt have the technique and intelligence but lack the pace, whilst players like Downing and Hendo have good pace, but lack the technique and intelligence.

One player I would love in the team is Moussa Sissoko. After watching, Yaya Toure for Man City, we lack a dominant CM with pace and power. Sissoko could play alongside Lucas or ahead him. Either way, we need another CM who can control the tempo of the game.

It has to improve next season and from the start. The players that we buy will give us an indication of how things may turn out.

IMO the style of football we have played this season has been much improved and although we had a bit of a dissapointing end to the season i think we were a bit unlucky not to pick up more points in the first half.

We all know that the team is suffering from several years of asset stripping of our best players, and also the drop in performance of our talisman Gerrard. This means we have a long road back to challenging for any meaningful titles.

I for one think the spirit shown by the team this year to make it to 2 cup finals shows what KK brings to the team. A sense of entitlement that LFC should be one of if not the best club in england/europe and even with an average team he can enspire them to the top. Ok the EPL has been a dissater for us this year but considering the the lack of squad depth and player issue's we had during the season its easy to see why we've been so inconsistant.

bearing all this in mind Kenny still gets my vote, as his style is more exciting that we,ve seen at LFC for a while and he brings back that good feeling around the club. Although some of his signings have not worked I believe its going to take at least 2 more seasons of investment before lfc are anyway near back to challenging and i think we should give Kenny those 2 more years.

Its up to JH whether to give KK more time, but I think changing things now will just cause further termoil for LFC and anyway who would we feasibly get to replace him bearing in mind that Woy was the best we could do last time!
