I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm not selling anything, this is my personal opinion and I'm not looking for any support.
If you ignore 2009 & 2014 then it has to be 2008 - the shocks bounced, expectations soared and we made our mark - a bloody good year for Hull City AFC.
2oo8 for me as you'e got to add in the fantastic trip to Wembley plus the 8 magic days of beating Arsenal and Tott.Hotspur away.
I'd liken it to shagging. The first time is always high on the excitement scale...often messy and unsustainable...e.g. ownership & management. Subsequent attempts, usually with new partners (ownership & management) are usually more successful & longer lasting because of the lessons learnt & the maturity & experience utilized from the first juvenile attempts. Every shag from then on may be lower on the Richter scale, but keep coming back. 2013/14 season for me, and as someone alluded to above, 2014/15 +++ seasons. The cumbersome groping is over ! "Sorry, I have a headache"..... shall not be contemplated...... ...oops, time to go out revelling...you lot are 5 hours ahead.....Happy New Year
i'd say 2008 cause i never thought we'd get there, it was exciting, like canda said, the first time shagging, you're so damn exicted, you can't wait to get in that warm excited little pot and boy is it good, it's new it's excitable.. but then you realise it's not as good as you thought cause you're **** at it and you're cut short cos you're excitement gets the better of it , you kinda feel frustrated, you're not use to it and you're not good enough for it, so you pull out, you listen to mates about their experience and you regroup, you talk to some experienced guys, and then you go for it again and it's a ****ing blast and that's what 2013 is!! or something
Funnily enough my first time shagging I couldn't finish because I was so ****, so clearly analogy not entirely relevant!
W4 D3 L2 is the first 9 games of 2008 on our push to our first season in the prem - for me there were stand out games along the way to the play off finals and the first half of the 2008 season in the prem was pretty special.
I'm more like Liverpool fans. Forever thinking they're good on top, but then realising that that just makes them finish too quickly and ending up upset.
