He hasn't told me he has but I'm not sure I'd believe him anyway! "Nobody is going to tell me when I die!" "I'll die when I want to!"
I think three or four years being immersed in it with a lot of money involved would prove a very effective crash course! Sorry for choice of words!
Of course he cares about the club at the moment but if he were to sell and we then fell down to league 2 etc. do you seriously think he would be going to games and fervently supporting us?
Would you be going to games and fervently supporting us in league 2? Exactly. Anyway I wasn't saying he's now a hardcore fan who gets up and sings city til I die at 19:04 every game but that he probably does have some sort of emotional attachment to the club by now.
Well I had no problem doing it last time despite being 8 at the time so I reckon I probably would yeah
The only emotional attachment he has to the club is just how much it owes Allamhouse ! If one of your companies owed another £100 million wouldn't you have some sort of emotional attachment to it ?
He has almost changed your opinion on the Hull Tigers name change, and that above is the best you can offer as to why. Of course he is now a Hull City supporter ( fanatic ) he has a load of debt he want's to recover ( whilst taking 5% interest and a salary of ??? ) If he want to increase the KC capacity he will need to talk to Hull City Council, not act like a spoilt child. In any case if we had 10,000 extra seats, how much income would that bring ? 10 million maybe, that's like one of our big signings Long, Jelavič, Ince, or Snodgrass. Supporters provide comparativly a small income to the club. You think he would sell the club if a decent offer came in, are those his words or your thoughts? If he was such a fanatic of the club surely he would'nt sell.
If the capacity is increased, besides there being more ticket sales, there would also be more programmes sold, food and drink sold, merchandise sold, increases in sponsorship, more potential in the future for new fans' children to be introduced to supporting the club.
The sooner he announces he's submitted another name change application the better, it'll leave no-one in any doubt what a despicable old **** he really is. Just because he's put the ****witted statements on hold during the off season he's still here planning the demise of Hull City A.F.C. I'm actually looking forward to his next outburst, there's been a good few months for his state of mind to deteriorate further so we can expect fireworks.
If we don't get a Champions League place this season I'm off to support Chelsea - they're only a few stops up the tube.
Even the biggest 'fanatic' of any club in the world would eventually sell if the price was right. Everything has a price. Also 10,000 extra seats brings in far more cash then just selling 10,000 tickets.
The club has loads of debt, assets worth much less than the debt, some potential if the club can stay in the premier league. The club has a price, a low one in my opinion. When do you think the price will be right ? I conseeded the second point to Peter Saxton although Fez pointed out that some will only buy a ticket and nothing else. " Far more cash " is quite some claim, people already complain about the food, drink and merchandise pricing. Not looking for a squabble with you, i thought the origional poster may have had something to add to his comments.
The club went up for sale as soon as we got promoted, I understand that we received no interest, though AA claims otherwise. I've been disappointed with AA's approach to some things(obviously), but I'm also grateful for others, we have our best team ever and we've finally started investing in our academy. On the pitch we look better than ever, off it, we still look like rank amateurs.
^^^ That'll be me, for years I bought a programme, coffee and a pie at every home match; I stopped buying anything from the club, other than my season ticket, at the Norwich game last season. Albeit a small one, this is my own personal protest against the name change - should the good Dr announce he's dropping the name change idea I'll again start enjoying my coffee and pie while reading SB's programme notes.
