Robbie Neilson is in todays mercury saying if Schlupp carries on we will lose him to a big club. He said Schlupps game is built on pace and clubs like Arsenal will take note of him. All tuesday night did was put Schlupp on clubs radars. When Waghorn first came here everyone was crying out for Nigel to start him but he had to wait until October for his first start. Nigel took alot of pressure off Waggy doing it that way and I think thats the way Sven should go with Schlupp. Let him get involved without putting the pressure on him. Just let him play

I don't think Schlupp's age and experience should be too big a factor as to his selection vs Reading. I think scoring a hat-trick is enough to merit a starting place (especially given the lack of options we have). It will do his confidence a world of good and he'll be an unknown quantity to Reading as well. If it was Waghorn who scored the hat-trick, we'd all be calling for him to start so I don't think Schlupp should be different because he's only 18 and inexperienced.

Nugent has to start in my eyes. Schlupp should be on the bench and be given at least 25 minutes

I agree, pressure is never a bad thing.
If a 24 year old is worth 7 mil, LOL, then its time to stop being naive and spur him on towards great things with RICH, NON SELLING lcfc

Schlupp has earned a place on the bench. He is proven at league 1 standard and has shown his ability. Natural progression is now to be a squad player and take his seat on the bench or to be loaned out. I think he is worthy of a place on the bench and we introduce him to championship football. If he does well we then increase that to a starting 11 and if he doesnt then we dont play him. I would have him in front of Waggy as it stands.
