I think Austin may play the first game or two before the window is shut. Phillips is likely to be the same. It's strange how quiet things are with Fer.

Are you suggesting that you think they will stay? I wish I could share your optimism.

This has the Remy situation written all over whereby Austin leaves last minute and we are shafted with no replacement.

I think Phillips will be a QPR player at the end of the transfer window yes.

I think Austin will leave when PL teams panic after a bad start, but he will start the season with us. So to debate with the OP, i'd have him in my starting line up in two weeks time.

What makes sad reading is that David Mcintyre tweeted that Sebastian Polter looked crap on the Pre season tour in Italy and he reckons some of our signings need at least a season before we see the best of them.

Truth of the matter is, if we've got Austin and Fer with us and fit to play then we should be taking teams apart going forward.

Green
Furlong, Ned, Caulker, YSY
Fer, Faurlin, Luongo
Gladwin, Polter, Chery

Or something like that.....

There is absolutely zero chance of Yun starting in 2 weeks. No games in pre season thus far so he's never going to be fit.

I expect to see the following:

Green,
Furlong, Ned, Caulker, Hill,
Luongo, Faurlin,
Phillips, Chery, Gladwin,
Austin.

Can't see Yun, Fer, Sandro starting through lack of fitness. Polter isn't good enough to start, Mackie might get a start ahead of Gladwin. Other than that I don't think there's too much else he can do.
If Fer plays in the next couple of pre-seasons then he'll be instead of Chery.

I don't think that line up will be too far out.

Unlike some of you though, I'm not the slighest bit surprised that no offers have been received for Fer!

Easy answer awjm.

Most of the season he was awful for us. Most of the season he was awful for Norwich.

He has a hard shot on him & is reasonable in the air.

Not much else that any club could get excited about. Others will complately disagree with me on this subject!

I completely disagree with you. Played out of position for most of the season. Different player when played in his rightful position. The guy is class.

When played as a CF under Ramsey he was excellent. Fer is far too goo for the Championship.
