I agree about practicing corners , keeping Robertson away would be a start

Whose set pieces do we actually rate though? I swear whoever takes them gets criticised. Even Snodgrass when he left people said his set pieces weren't all that great because he missed more than he scored.

You pay for that type of skill and quality we wont pay and therefore cant deal with those circumstances.

Someone will know .. but of our record penalties conceded tally, how many were actually penalties? This bollocks of it evens itself out, who the clustefuck came up with that!!!!!?

It's a genuinely stupid assertion - ignorant on many levels - which ever division/level of football you're in.

Scientifically, how could it even begin to work?

Just find somebody who can beat the first man - 3 corners in a row today he hit the first man , it's not good enough , these are supposed to be premier league footballers - same as 3 times we passed the ball straight out for a throw in under no pressure , and if a ball is bouncing I hold my breath that our players will actually control the thing , it's ridiculous really , basic schoolboy stuff

It doesn't, no other team has had injuries like us. As for luck during games, it's entirely possible for a team to just be **** all season. We have one away win this season, it's not possible for that to balance out.

They don't have to be amazing quality every time , you just need to get the ball around head height into a fairly decent sized area , I would expect any half decent Sunday league player to be able to achieve this , never mind internationals

Agree DJ was referring more to free kicks, but you're right. Basics!!

I do think we are at the stage of having to now get points away from home too, due largely to the teams above us picking up points (except Swansea).

Grosicki has no end product, or a really low success rate - can only remember him setting up one goal v Leicester away for Clucas.

They won a penalty that was a penalty. Snodgrass' wasn't, he cheated to get it. That's why there was an uproar. 3 of our red cards and penalties condceded have been handballs that prevent a goalscoring opportunity, that's not bad luck for the team, that's people using their hands to stop the ball going in.

We haven't had decisions go for us because we don't spend enough time in the box to win penalties. If our wide players picked the ball up and ran into the box instead of crossing early or from the touch line we'd get more. As it stands, our wingers try to win corners rather than dribble into the box.
Agreed

I've said it before but when do you ever see s player practicing corners in the warm up??
Whoever it is taking them should practice ten from each side pre match and eight of ten should be in the area he wants it to be. Whether that's near post far post or down the 6 yard line.
Also one of ours should be getting in front of the first man at the corner and flicking it on if it is under hit.
FACT

It's a results based game.

We are closer to relegation now than we were when he arrived. Fact.

And we are out of both cups.

And we have sold two of our best players.

And signed a crock of ****e.

Tell me how he has improved our position?

I blame the owner. But then I would wouldn't I.

I'd also like us to practise throw ins. I can't recall the last time we took a good one. We just launch it down the line for a 50-50, which we often lose.

Totally agree about the throw in's, we get a throw in and our player's take off in the opposite direction, at time's it looks like no one want to take responsibility.

One of my biggest bugbears in football is the designated throw in taker. We've got 4 men forward and a throw in near the opposition box, but instead of Grosicki or whoever the closest player is, we spend 10 seconds waiting for our full back to trot up the field (A-Bob or Omar) from their position to take it, by which point the other team have got their players back in position to defend. As we often bottle the throw in anyway, this leaves them out of position when the opposition inevitably break away.

Any player is capable of taking a throw in, just ****ing take it quick, Robertson doesn't throw it any better or different than any other player would.

You'd like to think so wouldn't you...

So who takes hudds place?
It means persisting with growshitski on the left but I think it'll be Niasse, and Abel up top and a midfield 4 of growshitski cluca N'diaye markovic.

I'd rather have 2 up top (Abel and Niasse), three in midfield (Clucas to distribute, protected by Evandro and N-Diaye), Robbo and Alabadabadoo wingbacks with Harry, Curtis and Nokia as rear guard.
