Truth be told i actually forgot about Lukaku lol ! Maybe we don't need another striker then, and yep i was looking to the future mainly as i don't see kalou, malouda or drogba being with us next season. I agree with Schweistinger however you spell it aswell his world class, obviously his injured atm though so we'd have to wait untill the end of season but he would be a great signing, with regards to tiote i see him as a young version of essien plus his got a lot of pace, we do really just need one proper creative midfielder and schweistinger would be great, all depends really i'm sure AVB has plans for the end of the season so were just have to wait until then but to assure top 4 we definitely need a cb and barring no injuries we should be all-right with regards to midfield and attack. Only thing that worries me with regards to the midfield is for example Ramires is ruled out of the fulham game due to his yellow card last night which means we will have Lampard and Meireles in midfield and say one of them gets injured ( touch wood they don't ) then who can we bring on to fulfill their position, i think we just need 1 or 2 more back-up midfielders

Do we know how bad the Mikel injury is? That aside I guess Malouda would be the obvious answer to come into midfield or mata and put kalous/malouda out on the left.

Balancing a squad is very difficult though.

Nope not yet, with a bit of luck his out till the end of the season lol spurs done us a favour injuring him last night, he was awful and we improved a lot when romeu came on.
And yep but would you really be confident with Malouda on the left wing or on midfield? Don't think he cuts it anymore mainly due to his greedyness of the ball and i'd much rather we brought in another midfielder or Pereira

Squad for me until end of season:

    Cech, Turnbull, Hilario

    Hutchinson, Bosingwa

    Luiz, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill

    Cole, Bertrand, Ferreira

    Romeu, Essien

Ramires, Meireles, Lampard, (CREATIVE MID), Piazon

    (CREATIVE WINGER), Mata, Krasic

    Torres, Sturridge, Lukaku

1 from this list to stay - Mikel, Drogba, Kalou, Malouda and the other 3 to be sold during January with the fourth in the summer along with Bosingwa and Krasic returning to Juve

Creative Winger picks - Eden Hazard, Mario Goetze, Gareth Bale

Creative Midfielder picks - Marek Hamsik, Joao Moutinho, Luka Modric

Modric and Bale would fit every , prem experience, fit the positions we need, can play champions league and are real quality

Then in the summer I would make Cavani our number 1 target along with Mceachran returning to the squad after a hopefully successful loan

I know Kalou may not be a fan favourite, but I really want him to stay and I am pretty convinced he will. I reckon when we have offloaded Drogba and especially Malouda he will play a lot more.

I'm with you Varier 2. With an upgraded midfield , I think Kalou can be a very good player for us. We have several very talented youngsters to step up a la Sturridge, and young Hutchinson is a serious bonus. Obviously the Maloudas, Boswingas, Drogbas are not getting any better, but the Mikels' and Kalous' just might with more energy, speed and passion in the team. Personally I'm starting to worry about Ashley Cole. Absolutely skinned inside out for Fulhams' goal, not a peep on 606. If it was David Luiz all hell would have broken loose. For me, definite signs that ,like Lamps, Terry, Drogba etc, the slide has started. Absolutely not saying he's "finished " , just that he's past his best, and we need to mark that down now, not wait until it was almost too late, as we did with Lamps.

Agree with most of this mate, completely agree about a.cole, going forward is great but is becoming a liability these days defending so maybe bertrand should be given the step-up now, can't agree with Mikel and Kalou though, Mikels too slow and sloppy and is more suited to a team like Stoke, why keep Mikel when we have a star in Romeu and Kalou? Can't agree with that lads, his woeful and theres no need for him - Lukaku,Lalkovic,Torres,Sturridge,Mata are all better plus i'd rather we bring in Hulk and Pereira for any back-up
