    Nelson Mandela was a terrorist who went on to be President of South Africa. I know in your world everything is black and white (especially white!) but for the rest of us it's not that simple.

    he never died for his country webel. he died because he thought he was better than the rest of the prisoners and didnt want to wear the uniform. he said it was too micthy matchy. exact words

    I knew you'd come out with something along those lines, it's all about intention particularly intention at the top of the organization. The British army doesn't (I hope) attack people when there is no military justification for doing so. There have been incidents but not directed from on high more individuals getting carried away and subsequently being punished for their actions (most of the time).

    If the IRA had stuck to military targets and maybe even the police as well, their "war" would have had some sort of legitimacy.

    the omagh bomb killed more catholics than protestants. not that the religion matters to me but what a fail.
