Yes, a brave man who would not bend to the will of a foreign oppressor.

as Med dog will tell you, it's up to you to pay respect, but no need for ****ty comments.

He starved himself to death because of his beliefs. Whether you agree with his beliefs or not is somewhat irrelevant. You wouldnt have gone through with it and nor would I. Takes a man some strength to do what he did

You Irish talk some amount of ****e <laugh>

A foreign oppressor? Us Brits have given you ****s the benefits of Empire and all the trappings that are associated with it. The only thing we did wrong was unsubscribe from the Roman oppresors.

You Irish really are thick and bitter.

    "WHAT SO WE WANT?!"

"We want to join ROI and join the EU and be governed undemocratically from Brussels"

    "WHEN DO WE WANT IT?!"

    "Now"

    <laugh>

I think you need to realise theNI of today is very different to the NI of the 1980s

Catholics were treated as second class sum, simply due to religion.
Yes today may be different, but today those "terrorists" are elected MP's in the UK and ROI. They are also in government in the NI parliament.

in the 1970's elections were fixed to ensure the people had no voice.

Go and learn about how it was rather than assuming it was always as it is now

most adults have a bit of common decency not to make inappropriate comments like yourself about people who fought and died for this country.

Some partially ******ed guy gets caught planting a bomb. Rather than be a man and do his time, he gives in and starves himself to death while being used as a cum bucket for all the other crims. He dies, looking like Amy Winehouse, emaciated and covered in his own filth.

Some yahoos take it upon themselves to put this poor unfortunate on a pedestal and say he died for 'ra cause'. He was a common criminal and deserved all he got. Rest in eternal torment.

But it wasn't the UK that did those alleged acts though was it?

It was your fellow Irish

And it was the Irish that voted in the GFA that allowed terrorists to be freed and elected into government, elected nonetheless by the Irish again.

Sorry but planting bombs in pubs and high streets, etc, killing innocent members of the public for a cause, no matter what the cause is, does not deserve any respect.

British soldiers are terrorists by definition aswell, and you always make the effort to remember them. So this is ok.
