Surprised no thread about this.....

Interestingly poised as we approach lunch on the 3rd day. Slight advantage to Pakistan who lead by 90 with 9 2nd innings wickets in hand.......England need some Stuart Broad magic to restrict them, apparently the highest successful 4th innings run chase at Lords is 282, not much room for error......
 
Pakistan must be favourites with their attack bowling last at England who didn't look comfortable, especially against the leg spin of Yasir. Noticeable that as soon as England come up against a team with a decent attack our batsmen look vulnerable. Ballance just doesn't look up to it and Vince has failed again, should be a cracking series...
 
I don't know what was going through captain Misbah's mind just then but a good and important catch taken by Hales. This test will be a close one.
 
5th wicket stand worth 50 and lead 178 at tea.....another 120+ runs would in all probability see England out of the game.....
 
What the hell are Vince and Ballance doing in the side,it will be down to Cook,Hales,Root and Bairstow to chase down this total.Can't see it happening against their spinner !
 
I fancy England, skittle them early for 300, then take their time and finish them off early Monday, Root to score a ton
 
Plenty of time left but out middle order is a bit suspect, need to shift the remaining batsmen out quick this morning, 300 is getable.
 
282 is highest 4th innings score at Lords to win a match, better teams with better batsmen have failed. It's Pakistan's to lose, with three spinners I think we're up against it...

Incorrect,the West Indies got 344-1 in 1984 to win the match on the last day. I should know,i was there. Memorable day,Gordon Greenidge smashed us to all parts and got an unbeaten double century in less than a day ! Incredible stuff.

282 is England's highest successful fourth innings score at Lord's.
 
Bloody hell! I nip out to collect the youngest from a local music festival and when I get back we're three down

Tough ask now. Especially with Root gone.
