push the accelerator down a good bit first before you leave the clutch out who gives a **** if the car is screaming you wont stall and soon you'll be used to it and be able to just drive off no screaming car no stalling
if jersey is anything like guernsey then id hate to drive there. all the roads are so narrow and have walls either side
Yeah, it's pretty much the same, apart from the '5 Mile Road'. If you look at a map of Jersey, there is a big bay down the west of the island. Along there is a nice wide road, 5 miles long, and pretty much straight. And the speed limit there's still only 40!
well , I checked the bbc scotland news this morning ; no traffic carnage on the raods of baillieston....poor show ml ; make the most of it when youve got L-plate protection ........you know you want to
First lesson was done in the industrial estate in East Kilbride. Had to use a petrol car because his normal diesel one had to be fixed after someone drove into the side of it. Not a single stall or crash, piece of piss. First hour was stuff like learning about the clutch, fixing mirrors and getting the seat in the right position etc. Normal start stop, downhill start and stop, uphill start and some steering. Next week it's more steering, 3 point turns and probably out on the open road He reckons 10 hours and I should be able to pass my test. <excellentclutchcontrolmuir>
You usually don't get the manoeuvres for a while, so if you're getting them next week, that's impressive. Petrol's slightly easier to drive, imo. Get your theory test done and out the way so it doesn't hold your test up too. Also, some instructors do hour and a half lessons - good idea to get a few of them initially too. A lot more long drives, getting used with pedals, stopping/starting if you're doing them at peak times. Good luck x
Cheers Tina. I've paid for 10 hours and doing 2 hour lessons, but might need to wait a few weeks. He has quite a few tests coming up and obviously needs to focus more on them, and then he's on holiday for 2 weeks. He said because the disruption he'll give me an extra 2 hour lesson for free First time going round the mini roundabout I was steering like a spazz. Never took my hands off the wheel and ended up twisting my arms round Felt like such a fanny. Hopefully be driving by the end of August. Going to do my theory while he's going through all the tests and his holiday, already passed my works advanced theory, so shouldn't be too much of a problem doing the standard theory test.
It sounds silly, but see to master the steering? Sit with a round dinner plate and pretend it's a wheel. It works
He said to imagine the clutch being 2 dinner plates stuck to your hands. Let go too fast and it'll stall, but he said bring them together too hard and they'll smash, cutting your hands Good guy but He pulled over to switch seats, but at the passenger door there was a plastic bag filled with ****e. Couldn't have picked a worse place to stop Thank **** I seen it when I opened my door and didn't just put my foot in it. I made the mistake of looking at cars yesterday. Settled on an Audi R8 V10 Coupe
I passed my test after 6 lessons. Bought a Corsa 1.2 paid £2400 insurance. Got caught speeding after 6 days (went on a speed awareness course so got no points) 3 months later got caught doing 112 on the motorway nice lil ban, sold mi car lost wasted 9 months of insurance and gotta re-take my test! Thanks very much taxis planes helicopters definately cheaper
Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre If you can't see, edge out slow Never gamble DONT DRIVE AT 50 MILE AN HOUR IN THE OVERTAKING LANE ON THE ****ING MOTORWAY!
clutch in , steering wheel locked hand brake up only do this at 50/60mph nice little move no clutch in and youll stall and look a spazzy infront of the fit bird you wanna pump
Yes. First time. Canny understand these useless ****ers who need more than one go to pass a driving test. They shouldny be let loose on the roads.
